Thursfield was probably on Milne because The Rat is by far the Saints 1st choice as a go-to .marking target inside 50 in Roo's absence. Thursty's main strength is as a spoiler but was exposed when the ball hit the grass.

Le Cras also gets up on the lead somewhat so may well draw the same match-up.

We do though need to consider how to combat Big Cox if he starts to push down the corridor towards the goal... may be too big for some of our defenders to handle! :p
Gus either has to go back with Cox, or do enough damage himself Cox has to follow him.

why dont the coaching staff just tell king to make an attempt at spoiling and accidently smack lecras jaw, just like he did a couple of years ago. got away with it too. i like the way the frenchman goes about it, just not this week.

I think it was actually Mitch Morton he smashed? Was one of the best hits I've ever seen anyone get away with in recent times.

Interesting... are people are assuming Farmer is a walk up start to be picked? Connor for Farmer seems a likely change to me.

well our backline is in the wrong hands then isn't it. if there were a vote if farmer is a dud or not, the dud vote would win. make a poll.
Advice: When trying to make comedic nicknames try and actually make the new name resemble the old one eg. Carlolton Whorethorn Premiershipmond..

these are all good examples

"Farmdud" This is not

You did create that Poll you were talking about... you got 5 votes saying his a dud! than means 4 other than you agree his a dud...

The rest of us are smart enough to allow the kid more than 9 games!

Id highly recommend watching more footy and maybe hold off on the posting for a bit, refresh , sharpen up , than have a crack again at a later date. :thumbsu:

I reckon Polak should come back in. He can combat Cox to a degree if he goes forward and can give Gus support in the ruck. Interesting watching Saturday night when both Cox & Nic Nat were at some stoppages, could be a ploy to free one of them up to push forward during the play.

IMO Polak should be in the team as 2nd ruck...not as a forward or anything else. I genuinely believe he can offer a lot in that area. Vickery may develop into a ruck in years to come but is miles away from being a competitive ruckman today. Let him develop in the 2's playing week in, week out. And get him on the 'roids

happy_**** errrr, i can see you are on some kind of mission here. Tipping you are a troll...and like you suggest that farmer can prove himself, you will also prove yourself in time. ;)

I'm on board with your theory re Polak.
Certainly no room for him up forward now with JR8, Griff & Astbury as 1st choice options + Morton still faffing around on the fringe...

Simmo's retirement leaves us with Vickery who clearly needs time & Browne who I have seen once only and that was in round 1 2009 and we know how well that went!
I hear Browne is showing signs in the 2's now and that's great but for the remainder of this season, I reckon Polly will play lot's on games as our 2nd ruck and quite frankly, he probably needs to do pretty well in the role to hold his place in the club for 2011.

Good luck to him.
