Needs to be played in the one spot consistently. We know he's versatile, we know we can throw him fwd and back. We need mids, put him in there and leave him there for the rest of the year.

Pretty frustrating that stats like this arent easily available - i analyse games every which way from sunday. You just dont see him at centre bouncedowns as much as you did last year - or hardly at all for that matter. Redden has come in and taken that spot - which for my money is a mistake as he is slow. Id see one slow and two quicks as more damaging and dynamic and offering more for nic nat to hit to - with more versatility. All in all im wondering why we got redden at this stage aside from the fact that he wanted us.Any stats to back that up? Just curious because I can't find anywhere which breaks down positional percentage time? Not saying you are wrong but I don't necessarily agree and can't find anywhere to verify
Priddis replacement? I think when his fully fit and used to the team he will be an asset to the side. But i wouldnt mind simmo giving him the jetta treatment.Pretty frustrating that stats like this arent easily available - i analyse games every which way from sunday. I would have put sheed as the priddis replacement. Sheed also isnt quick so same problem - 2 slows one quick.Priddis replacement? I think when his fully fit and used to the team he will be an asset to the side. But i wouldnt mind simmo giving him the jetta treatment.
Insurance for Priddis I think. Also the Pridda is not getting any younger.Pretty frustrating that stats like this arent easily available - i analyse games every which way from sunday. Has had a few injury problems this year I think - also as the team isn't firing as a whole - he's just one of many not at his best at the moment.I rekon yeo is a downhill skier. he will looks awesome when the teams firing. he would look awesome in a side that has an Elite midfield trio or quartet, where he can pinch hit through the middle and play on a forward flank. I hope this isnt the case. I would like Simmo to show more balls and actually drop redden this week and play Yeo in his spot and see what yeo can produce. I dont care if he gets 25 plus and bags 3 goals this week against a bad opposition.
I think those two will be rotating through as the coal face player in the coming years. Sheeds got a great kick and it would be wasted by playing as a coal face player. Redden isnt fast but once fit he is much more versatile than priddis.I would have put sheed as the priddis replacement. Sheed also isnt quick so same problem - 2 slows one quick.
Wasted in defence - we have plenty of players who can play that role. More value in playing him in the midfield/HFF and we know if stretched he can always be put into defence. It's just that with Le Cras and Cripps not kicking many goals these days he is more value where he can kick a goal or two. He just needs to build up his tank and needs to be given time to settle in the midfield instead of throwing him all over the place. Also with our midfield being so slow on the whole, we need somebody in the midfield with a bit of speed.I see him as a defender and a really good one
Why is there a stigma about being a defender ....like it's oh he's too good to be a defender
He's never going to be a midfielder ...his engine isn't at that level
Forward ...hmm, yes he can play forward but he doesn't know how to crumb from a pack and he isn't a tall forward even though he can leap at it
I say play him as a defender simply because that's his best position

The thing is though not sure how many years Priddis has left in him and when he's gone (or injured) and should Sheed get injured again we need somebody who can fill that role. Think people are being a bit harsh on Redden considering he didn't have a proper pre-season due to injury followed by a Hernia operation. We may not see the best of him until next year but hopefully he improves as the year goes on.Pretty frustrating that stats like this arent easily available - i analyse games every which way from sunday. As far as Le Cras and Cripps playing midfield, in my opinion I think thats where the coaching panel are going wrong this year as Le Cras has played his best football as a HFF (and Le Cras is not getting any younger) and also Cripps. Have noticed this year that both appear to be playing more as mids to fill gaps due to our slow midfield. Neither kicked a goal at the weekend against Adelaide. I would think that by not playing Le Cras in the midfield but as a HFF would extend his career more?I get all that and agree with in an ideal world I'd love to seem him playing as a midfielder ......but he's not a mid and I doubt he ever will be ....I hope I'm wrong and happy ....really happy to be wrong
I reckon lecras could play midfield to extend his career ....Cripps also said he was keen to play some midfield also (last year)
I would have more hope of Jack darling being a big mid than Elliot yeo
Actually I agree with you about his game against the crows but my opinion is based on his form against better sides in bigger games. Looking back, the downhill skier label is a bit harsh but so far he hasn't been the type of player that stood out too often when we were getting outclassed. the games he has looked a Million bucks have been the games where the whole side was on point. BTW Yeo is one of the players i enjoy watching and this is probably the first time i have said something negative about him but thats based off a 12 month observation.I can't stand supporters like you that make factually incorrect posts. Did you even watch the game on Saturday? Yeo was just about BOG for half the game. Obviously Adelaide shut him down in the final quarter but if you are going to stick the boot into Yeo for a poor quarter, then you should be having a go at the whole team. I assume you just have an issue with Yeo and will critique him no matter how well he plays.
Your grammar is shockingly poor in this day and age where spell check should be helping.
He might not be hitting the heights of last season (just like the majority of our team) but he's still getting 18 touches, 5 tackles, and a goal a game.
Goal kicking midfielder who can take a grab is something we don't have.
Compare him to Masten for example. Can't mark, can't kick goals, can't tackle and is iust a waste of space when he's not in the clear kicking inside 50.

Why drop Hutch and not Redden?very good game by Yeo. Did go missing a bit at times but i would say he him and shuey were our best mids today. Why doesnt simmo just chuck him into the middle often. I would rather have 20 yeo disposals than Hutchings redden( current form) and masto's 30 disposals. I would drop hutchings and play yeo in hutchings role TBH.

its a coin toss really. I keep redden cause his a part of our future and hutch will always be depth. Also Hutch's strength is his inside work but redden still has him covered on the inside. Both are poor tho.Why drop Hutch and not Redden?
definitly. If he can spend 60% mind and 30% HF, he will have a massive Impact. he also seems to be a very good clearance player. 4 clearances from 21 touches isnt bad concidering we got pumped in that area.Yeo is a fast big body - exactly what we need in tge middle
