I also think he gets way too goal hungry with the ball near the F50m arc and puts the blinkers on, usually ignoring any other options and going for the glory shot instead. Misses more often than not. He needs to realise he's no Shuey

There was a respectable amount of pre-season and training report chatter that Yeo was slotting them at ease from 50 as if it were a part of a set play. Whether that is true or just how it came across I'm not sure but it is a shame to see someone else get burnt for the sake of potential individual glory.

That is the essence of Yeo, though. Lots of swagger, x-factor, takes on 5 tacklers, attempts goals from 50+ on the burst. If it ever clicks, game on! For now he's trying too much and costing us momentum.

Yeah. If we had a surplus of aggressive running defenders I would say let the experiment continue, but we could really do with his run from the D50. It just makes us that much less predictable

Yeah I tend to agree but Yeo has not had a lot of consistency in the mid. If we play him off a back flank, who does he replace? Wellingham and Shep seem in good nick where they are, with Wellingham the only one who might be able to take on some midfield rotations.

We have good HBF stocks, which is another reason I think we extend Yeo the opportunity to develop as a mid. It must be hard to coach a bloke like Yeo. Some of his best attributes are those you say will flourish when played off a flank, and they're the same ones that frustrate when he plays mid, trying to take on too much, getting pinged etc.

Well we don't need to play all three of Woefield, Barrass and Gov.

Either move Gov forward with Yeo back to provide more strong intercept marking

Or

Select one of Barrass/Mackenzie/Woefield to play as the second KPD alongside Gov, Sheppingham, Yeo, Hurn and Butler/Cole like last year when we looked like having a solid defense.

Three KPDs in defense is highly unnecessary IMO because of Yeo's ability to play tall.

Disagree, playing the 3 talls allows McGovern to intercept like he did last week.

No he's not..... he's better

Both of you stop crying. He doesn't need to "find form" he's still building and doing it nicely. Nobody would be saying a thing if he got a lazy 3 more touches a game. As for finishing off his flashy shots on goal from the fifty metre arc, Shuey used to be the same, and then last year it all seemed to click.

I guess i wouldnt have been critical off yeoy if redden was firing and sheed was fit. Im impressed by his tackles count. If he isnt getting the ball he is stopping the opposition from getting it. Im just a tad dissapointed cause this time last year yeo was hiven more midfield time and was doing better. I agree in that he should be allowed a clear run at one position without being moved a round.

You must have the worst phone/computer in the world to display such poor grammar in 2016.
