Just further to what I said, the reason Rocca had a go at him was Elliott broke team rules by flying for balls in situations where he has been instructed not to fly. Rocca was demonstrative in his criticism and Elliott took exception to this.

Buckley also had a go at him but did it in a much more measured way. Jamie has got the shits with both of them but mainly Rocca.
So he's pissed off because the coach gave him a spray for disobeying orders? Don't get arrogant now Jamie...

He's a different cat young Jamie. Not surprised he's taken exception to being told off. I've come across him a couple of times and he seems like a bit of a tosser.
Interesting I thought exactly the opposite when I met him and have seen him interviewed.

Its disappointing if Jamie has responded to criticism from the coaches by sulking, especially if it was brought in by him breaking team rules. I can understand being annoyed in how the feedback was delivered but even then coaches yelling at players is part of a footy club. Hopefully he can realise this and respond on the weekend.

Look at how well Witts responded to Bucks grabbing him by the jumper and telling him to toughen up (paraphrasing) last year.

Allegedly

Elliott looked as flat as a tack last week and now out with 'soreness' this week. Should we be worried?

Not only did Rocca berate him on the boundary line, he also kicked him in the back a few times. Only explanation.

Ugh not really, hasn't done anything last two weeks. Don't really care if its an omission or 'general soreness'. Give him a week to reflect, he couldn't even take those simple marks.

I don't like his moody personality as well. It's a team sport, if you are having a shocker doesn't mean you can't be happy for your team mates who are playing well.

Definitely in our best 22 and a bonafide goal scoring weapon when on song. We will be worse without him as we have been without his goal scoring prowess the least few weeks. I'd have $1 on WC in this one. Not solely because Elliott is out though.

Just wondering if there is something more to his mood. Certainly hope his omission is purely based on his physical fitness and not any mental difficulties. That boy has had a hard life.

Yeah I guess so but if it was his mental difficulties wouldn't he have shown these emotions back when he was in good form?? I've never ever seen him like this and its more likely that he has acted like this after a major drop in form.

Hoping it is, I wouldn't even mind if he spends the next week in the VFL. He hasn't been effective at all in the last 2-3 weeks, needs to really get some confidence back in.
