Huge news, this will kill Carlton 1!

Gee Whiz.
I hope it isn't a confrence to say that we've lost the draft picks.

I"m voting for De Lutis !!!
This Club needs young blood. Collins is an old man.

I've always been a big rap for De Lutis.

Why? i thought that Carlton 1 had a wider agenda than just getting rid of jack.

Because the main reason supporters are advocating change is because they hate John!

I disagree, De Lutis is an Elliott puppet and knows where all the bodies are buried. He stays, the spectre of Jack stays.

Carlton 1 is still the way to go.

What I am getting at is that I cant see Carlton 1 winning the election now... Not that we should vote the other way!

YOu could be right about De Lutis ODN, but I don't really want someone of Collins age as President. Ideally Someone around Eddie M's age and profile would be ideal, but sadly there doesn't seem to be anyone lurking.
What's your source btw ODN ?

I won't reveal it as like everyone else, they would no longer be a source if I did. Doesn't matter, if it doesn't happen, I will delete the post and pretend it never happened! ;)

Collo will stand aside quickly for the future of the club, that is the important thing.

Is that an opinion you have ODN or sourced? as it seems to be at odds with the last sentence in you original post.

Just an opinion that Collo will not hold on to the presidency any longer than he is wanted. He is not a politician who will hold onto office. Separate issues ... sorry.:)

Are people actually bloody well aware that it is not a broad sweeping block vote for Carlton One? Or are we all complete and utter ignoramus (apart from you ODN) cavity heads? I can't believe I used to think Carlton supporters had a bit more class and intelligence than most other fans...going on a couple of "saiak" and "the mailman"'s posts you'd have to say our supporters are brain dead lemmings.

I will be voting for the Carlton One ticket, along with Kernahan and DeLutis as well. There is no need to get rid of DeLutis or Kernahan if you want to vote Carlton One in. I cannot stand Wes Lofts and Kevin Hall and John Elliott (most of all) staying on at the club, they were the one's who led us to our present predicament in the first place.

Hey Deej
Steady On ...
All I said was that I would prefer having Colin De Lutis as president than Ian Collins mainly due to the age difference. This club needs a fresh approach for the 21st Century, although you could argue that being under Elliott's board goes against him.
Don't point a gun at my head and force me to vote for what you want. It's a democratic vote (despite the proganda from some people insists) and I have the right to judge whom I think is the best people to run the club. I certainly wouldn't vote for the other board members except for Sticks and Diesel.

Frankly, i'm not convinced I want Sticks and Diesel there either, I'm so unimpressed with the way they have handled their Board positions and respective responsibiites.

De Lutis may be OK after a couple of years out of Elliot's shadow, but having read his quotes in today's papers, I'm largely unimpressed. Elliot is the past, and the sooner he goes the better for the benefit of the whole Club. One more year under Elliot is one more year under the same inappropriate image and dictatorial ways, with nothing fresh at all on the Board. Just a slight reshuffle of the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Also, there is STRONG talk that De Lutis has signed up 100 Bradmill workers for proxies, and strong indications that the current Board has been interfering with membership information passed to the Carlton One group. I, for one, will not tolerate such unethical behaviour form ANYONE at this Club, let alone the Board.

Blues respond to stacking claims

Carlton board member Colin De Lutis has defended his purchase of 40 Carlton memberships and the handing out of voting rights forms to staff at his western suburbs business to enable them to vote at next week’s extraordinary meeting of the club.

De Lutis bought the memberships in May, and said he believed there was nothing wrong in signing-up staff at his clothing and textile business, Bradmill, over the past few weeks, to guarantee their voting rights.

De Lutis was responding to claims on Melbourne radio by supporter Ross Fiore, a member of the Unofficial Selection Committee which is campaigning to reform the Carlton board, that up to 100 Bradmill employees had secured voting rights.

A Carlton board member for three years, De Lutis said he was uncertain how many of his staff had registered.

“It’s probably 30-odd that are actually proxy,” he told a media conference called by the club.

De Lutis said he was confident that Carlton members would support the existing board at next Wednesday's meeting. The meeting will consider a vote of no confidence which may prompt a spill of all positions on the Carlton board.

"You can interpret it any way you like,” De Lutis said.

“Nobody was twisted it in the sense that it was put out this morning. There was no – ‘you lose your job if you don’t join’. I had about a dozen people who didn’t want anything to do with the Carlton Football Club.”

“People are interested in football clubs, and I’ve got a lot of Carlton supporters out at Bradmill. There’s probably 70 or 80 out there. But I don’t have 70 or 80 memberships that I own to give away.”

De Lutis said he provided his staff with 200 tickets to a Carlton match against the Western Bulldogs in May when he first took over Bradmill, and likened it to giving out memberships.

“I thought it would be a good gesture to get them to come and watch Carlton. My directorship is all about promoting Carlton. I don’t distinguish between giving them 200 tickets in May and a membership two weeks ago. And I intend to give memberships out next year.”

Carlton president John Elliott has anointed De Lutis as his heir apparent, declaring that he would like De Lutis to take over the presidency next year.

De Lutis was formally appointed a vice-president of the club earlier today, joining Kevin Hall, Peter Kerr and Wes Lofts in that role.

so who were you voting for again Saiak?

Why, because I posted the article from the AFL site? I will still be voting C1, but I am saying that the current board have made the right move in getting rid of Elliott (if they do), because at least if we have the current board next year, they will be without Elliott...

So saiak, your answer is to post political rhetoric??? The more I hear of what De Lutis says, the less impressed I become. His behaviour shows he is just an Elliot yes man, with similar ethics to Elliot or he would not be supporting him in the current situation. No-one at the Club outside of the current Board has come out in support of the current Board. That and the fact that they seem to feel the need for push polling signals how out of step they are. De Lutis talks about the need for a fresh approach, but says a change of Board members will not produce a fresh approach, whereas a deck chair promotion for himself will?

Well I think that Elliot will still be there next year. But well done on voting for C1.

I thought Elliot was standing aside next year?

Anyway, I don't want Puppet De Lutis to go anywhere near the presidency. Branchstacking is an absolute disgrace and completely unethical. How do you feel about that Mailman?

Sorry folks, my mail didn't have the finer detail nailed down apparently. At least there was a presidency announcement and the correct names were used, just 12 months out. Better luck next time.:)
