Baster's ride can't be under-estimated on Divine Madonna. The track was a bit easier for swoopers but the difference between his and McEvoys ride the week before was he got her starting to motor at the turn rather than after she had straightened up. This mare makes up so much ground in the final 200-100m it can be the difference between a fast finishing placing and a stunning win. No doubt the weight helped though

Saintssupporter I noticed Bruce McAvaney also say Shadowmaker (not Shadoways! always funny to see people confuse the slightly better galloper) was a SA horse. He's from Echuca so I'd almost let you claim him a NSW horse if anywhere
I also found it funny Bruce and Freedman thought Murray Downs last run was in Geelong for a 4th, when he ran 11th or so on Oaks day only a few days back...Ill give them a spell though its a hectic carnival for that total brain fade..and the fact the form guide also seemed to miss it
