Bentley Biscuit the winner?

Lad of the Manor looks good EW value, as long as it has recovered from the Cox Plate (surely they wouldn't be running it if it hadn't).

Danny Nikolic actually used the term "cat" to describe LOTM after the Cox Plate so maybe the Lad is past it.

Someone on here used it,I doubt it came from Nikolic.Got knocked over a couple of times in the C Plate,Nikolic actually looked at the film to consider protesting as they paid good money to 6th.

His Flemington form is a bit patchy but his 1600m form is amazing.

It wasn't Nikolic that said it, it was me!

Very unlucky in the Cox Plate (again!), won at Flemington at the Carnival last year (McKinnon) and is a class act. He'll do me for this.:)

Thats weird,I saw that interview & dont remember it.
Anyway,Id have him in my backyard,Gp1 winners are hard to get.

Magic Instinct has taken great benefit from last weeks slightly disappointing effort and was going to go the paddock before Peter Moody decided he was going to well not to try and win this race.

Will be having a fair crack at him and on the running double into Rubijon.

Hello all,

I'm interested in opinions on Divine Madonna's chances tomorrow?? I have a mate whose father is a part owner and I know they were pretty disappointed with its last start 4th, because McEvoy, who was unfamiliar with the horse, got way back and left a rattling run home a little too late. So I guess they weren't cut up about the run of the horse, but more the decisions of the jock. Apparently its times were scorching and some of the best on a day when it was difficult to make up ground on the outside and from the tail of the field. Assuming there is no leader bias tomorrow, do people consider Divine Madonna a big chance to flash down the outside to knock off the likes of Desert War and Seachange??

Any thoughts?

Ive backed it the last 3 starts and will be probably be on tommorow but feel it is way under the odds. Depends on the track and will take a ripping ride to get close.

PS its closing 200m splits are always amazing

My first look at the race, I marked it a $9-10 chance.
Open class Gp1,will need the race run to suit.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with its last run

Cheers mate, might just pop an interest bet on it. Love these horses that storm home from the back of the field though! Gets the blood pumping! :thumbsu:

3-9 Gawne - Not a lot of pace in this and I think Childs can get a nice soft run near the front and get up at nice odds.

4-10 Tullamarine - Not keen on any of the top half and think Perry can get up in Melbourne again, last start in his first run against anything of any quality he had no luck.

5-8&9 - I reckon one of the 3yo's will get up. Can't split them. I might wait until just before the jump to see who they go for.

6-1 Desert War - The old warhorse shouldget a lovely run. If this were in Sydney he'd be very warm favourite. Super Kid may also be value. The Hayes family dominate this race over the years.

7-12 Straddle - Not convinced with any others. This one has form around Maybe Better and also Chandonne who won on oaks day.

8-3 Vanquished - Should prove a better stayer than these

9-4 Rubijon

Had $100 on the nose on VALKYRIE DIVA.

Which came fourth :(

but big last two on $100 on the nose on Gallant Guru and $50 e/way on Trick of Light.

Good day at Flemington and I got some action.

Going out tonight.

Finished the day a bit up.

Desert War got softened up by Apache Cat, my suspicions were right about him being given a hard time out in front. Terriffic win by Divine Madonna though, all things said. Followed this mare for a while now, lovely sprint on her.
