1. No
2. You cant make energy from nothing so it isn't real
3 tinea?
:) :) :) :-/

Now you can get back to worrying about how shit we are

1) I know were aren't alone... I just wonder where they are all are. Are they watching us right now?

2) There is no such thing as nothing in terms of space. There is always something and where there is something there is energy.

3) Nah not tinea, I have a cream for that and it always gets itchy right after my boot is on.

You guys need Foxtel, there have been so many good games these last few weeks to watch as a neutral. It makes for a good change seeing teams play attacking footy compared to the chore of sitting through our games.
Hawthorn vs St Kilda a better game than i thought it would be . After watching Geelongs training run very refreshing .

Unfortunately I checked out aaaages ago. As you can tell by my now extremely infrequent posts.
I used to check in on BF & various Freo/footy sites regularly. Now, it is rare.
Ross' game style is old, stale and boring. I went to Optus last week to watch. The skills & decision making were deplorable. Luckily we played Carlton.
I look forward more these days to the EPL season. I take an interest in footy, but nothing like I did a few years ago.
At least Liverpool are capable of scoring more than 3 goals in a game.

This is so true. We are easily in the three worst clubs to watch.

For what it's worth, most ranking algorithms and Elo ratings have us as the third worst team in the competition, after Carlton and Gold Coast. We are flattered by our win-loss rate.

Well, I’ve now got to a point where I’m taping games, watching them later and fast forwarding through all the stoppages.

It used to be worlds-end if I didn’t see a game live and watch a reply.

You can say I’ve well and truly checked out

Yea, the questions' there bouncing around in my head. Sorry abit of a miserable dribble.

I've followed Freo since Day 1, I followed the eagles went to their games (yea I know):$:( and consciously went cold turkey to support us.

Most of you are very young folks who missed the Drum years and the shit treatment we got from everyone, Media, players, our own incompetent board. WAFC, Eagle scum.

That kinda gave you some determination that we would get better...but...

Do I really want to go thru this emotionally draining period again. I dunno, looking at whether FFC care. The weak ****ing shit they put on yesterday just kills you inside slowly.

I used to watch every Freo game (on tv, being in Melbourne), I'd plan my day around it and would record the games, so I could watch the replay multiple times when we win. The footy fixture was like the bible to me. My girlfriend would try to make plans, but I'd always say before or after the game.

In the last 3 months I've literally watched maybe 5 games live and recorded the rest to watch later. We're unwatchable, I'd rather go out for dinner/go gym and record the game than spend the night on the couch watching us bomb it to there spare defender for 3 hours.

The heavy defeats don't even hurt that much anymore, because I look at it as being one step closer to sacking Ross. Sad to say but getting smashed is basically a good thing, Ross is done and if heavy defeats is the way to get rid of him then so be it.

I watch our games with much less frustration and disappointment than you'd think, because I expect these spud performances. We just copped our biggest loss in our history, conceding the most goals in a row (that's including the new gws and gc teams) and we didn't score a goal after quarter time and I'm not even annoyed, I just think "well hopefully Ross gets sacked now".

I agree and I took a similar path to you, but the worst thing is, I dont think it will change anything. I don't believe ross will get fired or any change will happen. It will be like this for a long time yet.

Not sure where I am at to be honest.
Watched the whole game for some stupid reason, even my wife popped her head in late in the game, saw the score and asked if I was a glutton for punishment or words to that effect.
Over the last day or so I am more angry at the players, they have one job and they didn't even show any fight. Even if the game plan is shit, or the team is inexperienced compared to the opposition, to give up like they did is atrocious & embarrassing. They should have taken control to stem the tide. I feel Brayshaw would have been one to do this.
If anything a heavy defeat like this should instigate change which can only be for the better.
My main issue now is whether to drive down for the game this week. Was looking forward to it as expected there would be a few farewells and the players usually get up for the last game, but after Saturday I don't want to drive down for that rubbish.
The last game I was down for was Brisbane, and that was crap enough as it was.

Yeah, well I'm the other way inclined, I'm emotionally checked in - and I'm having conversations with people who can initiate change if they choose to commit.

What's happened at the club over the last 3 years is completely unacceptable and has been allowed to fester, Brad Lloyd may not be the best list manager in the industry, but my word, you would never have met a better intentioned, conscientious and revered figure at the club, to see him rolled in the manner he was has pushed me over the brink.

There's two options here, vote with your feet and leave, or, get involved in club admin discussions and lean on people with access to levers. I choose the second option every time.

I don't think I will ever be emotionally checked out, it's a part of who I am and maybe I should think differently but if you're not invested during the lows, then you don't deserve to feel the joy and happiness of the high's. This footy season has sucked in that my weekends have revolved around Freo and playing golf. My footy team is shit and so is my golf, then I work Monday - Friday but I stay invested in both for those moments when they bring a little bit of joy and hoping to see the ultimate success one day (right now that's a Freo premiership and shooting a round under 90).

I'm fortunate that I also follow the NBA (Boston), the EPL (Chelsea) and the cricket season is among us, so even when Freo aren't going too well I have another team/league to follow.

I'm hoping there'll be a time in the next 20 years that i'll get to see a Freo premiership. I'll look back at this period right now and think of how far the club has come.

Great post and thanks for sharing.

I live for my footy and family time on the weekends. It’s supposed to be fun and although it doesn’t feel like much fun at the moment, even posting on big footy and sharing the current frustrations with other fans is part of what makes footy enjoyable and a nice break from the crap that work and the rest of the world can throw at us all.

I watch most of the games on replay and in most cases know the outcome, it's been brutal. The urge to checkout is strong and has certainly won a couple of weekends here and there.

As someone who has been with Freo from the beginning, part of what gets me through is I remember the days of home games in the rain with 15k in attendance and watching a side made up of WAFL players get smashed week in week out.

I haven't watched a lot of games this year so I'm more positive than most on here. I run a business which is incredibly stressful (aren't they all). I have three youngish boys who are a handful, and am trying to fix up my new house. I need 'me' time to be as low stress as possible on the weekends and am doing my best to keep my hairline where it is. While I support Freo and have done for a long time, and will do for many years to come, I don't need extra stress in my life atm. So this year, I check the score after the game, if it's good, I will watch my recording, if not, I don't bother. At the end of the day, while AFL may be a religion for many, for me it is still just entertainment, and if it is not doing that and as I have zero control over the result, I have plenty of other things to occupy my time. Sitting on a surfboard in the ocean is far better for my health. As Tim Winton says, it draws away the poisons. Does it make me a bandwagoner? Probably, but I am more than happy to live with that.

Giving each other shit over their team is one thing but when people offer 'advice' as if they are now some sort of an 'expert' on the game just because their team they watch on the couch is having success I think is the funniest.
You must have met my entire In-Law family.. I've been doing everything possible to not see them for the last 5 months.
