What would it take for us to be a proper VFL club with seconds, juniors and feeder clubs?
I read an article earlier in the year re zoning for VFL teams- Metro and country. The way it would work is that VFL teams draw top up players from their zones and develop them in the AFL/VFL system. Clubs to then have first crack at players they have developed come draft time. The issue with it though is that it's not popular amongst country leagues.
It would be winding the clock back but worth consideration.

Good plan in theory, but they need to rotate the zones as otherwise you'll end up with the same problems the VFL/AFL did under the same model
