Had mine last night, we're only a small business (6 employees) so it was only a small group, employees and partners. Had a few drinks at some swanky bar (Spice Market I think?) followed by dinner at a Teppanyaki restaurant.

State manager? Yeh bro, he is going no where. Earlier this year he jammed his hand down the receptionists pants at a work function (small one just people from his specific area and it was kept very hush hush, i was pretty good mates with her) and it was NOT wanted at all by her. She got 4 weeks paid leave, then a 15k pa raise, worked there for another 6 months before taking off on a European vacay on his dime. There was alot of other stuff that went down but the dude just doesn't care in the slightest. I hate him because he is an asshat but i respect his lack of f**ks given.
You respect that sort of attitude?

Had mine Friday night, dinner and drinks at a restaurant then went out to some random bar. Was my last day of the uni placement there so my boss was revealing all of his workplace lovings to me, confirming a rumour that went around for a while then proceeding to go with this girl again despite her having a boyfriend. Good times.

I have been relatively tame at the end of year functions at my job so far.

The mid year functions go off though. I have vomited on the bus on the way home from my last two mid year functions.
A girl at our mid year function gave some bloke head in the toilet.

End of year functions, a bloke has got fired because he got cut off from the bar, and then poured himself a drink and told the manager to **** off.

This years end of year function is on 22nd December. Bring on some good stories.

The last one I went to was at Panthers Club in Penrith for my last employer, let's just say they look like Lifesavers.

Was a collection of about 15-20 different sites across Sydney, all under the one tent. A recipe for disaster if I ever saw one....and I did.

Working as a hydraulic relocation technician gave me interface with a boat load of Islanders......and don't they go to water when they get a skinful. One bloke was dancing on a table and tried to grab a slim looking stunner to share his gyrations with.......it was the Account Manager's partner. He took offence and tried to have a quiet word, and had his face punched in.

So old mate gets carried out by about 5-6 monster security guards (I think booze wasn't the only thing coursing through his veins) we resume festivities, when all of a sudden, he's somehow run up the side of this massive marquee/tent and caved in some air con piping. Gets escorted all the way to Mulgoa Rd, and we all have to head outside while they make sure the place is secure, coz he did a number on this air con gear.

Next thing you know, from across the car park (And for those that have been to Panthers, the car park is MASSIVE) we hear this trail bike with its neck being wrung. Old mate had bashed someone at the set of lights on his CR250, and he is SCREAMING towards this crowd. No helmet, shirt ripped off, eyes like dishpans. Everyone dives for cover, one of the seccos grabs a garden chair and hurls it at him. Cracks him right across the chest and face, he goes flying, the bike cannons into a tree, old mate looks DEAD. I mean deceased. Security do what they do, rush over to 'secure' him with their knees! I'm in hysterics watching this all unfold, I had only a few beers under my belt as I was escorting the casual worker who was hot. We ended up getting a cab back to my local and such.

The fall out on the Monday was huge. End of major Sydney Xmas parties, and I left for my current job the following year. I still bring that story up a lot. And that was one of many from that night. Last Chrissy party I attended though.

Mine was pretty tame this year. With all the Christmas parties downtown and a big hockey game the traffic was nuts. I was hoping I'd hear some crazy stories on Monday but nothing. Last year Dennis Rodman crashed the party but I left early and missed it :(

It seems quite a lot of people here work with sleaze, sluts and trash.
Anyone working in a decent sized team is bound to have one or three of the above, and if its not just the team you can guarantee that for a medium to large business all three will be there. People donlt rell stories about the other 100 people whio had a few drinks, maybe a laugh, and went home with their spouses and were capable of walking in a straight line.

Our xmas party consisted of a bbq in a park. Didn't bother wasting my time with that bullshit. The business has money coming out of their clack, the least they could do is put on a decent function.

Had ours last night (along with what felt like half of Melbourne).

Lunch was okay at a fairly ritzy restaurant in South Yarra, beer, wine and champas all day and the last hour was open bar. Kicked on til the wee hours, i bailed at 1am when i walked in on our CEO, State Manager and a few EA's racking up lines in the bathroom.

Just had a work barbie on Friday. Last year I was working with another company and it went a bit tits up. Out of the six locations in Perth, our office made a disgrace of themselves, especially our manager. It was at the Empire Bar and we were a loud, brash, drunken mess compared to everyone else that was just sitting around. Went to the Cas afterwards, where our group was kicked out for fighting with a group of young lads that were bagging our boss. Which was nice.
