Langer is an evil little gnome with a terminal case of parochial minnow syndrome. Like Tony Abbott would 'sell his arse' to become PM, Langer would suck any amount of dick to get a game (or one for his boys).
He’s done a lot of good for WA cricket.

He’s alright by me.

If Renshaw is dropped for any West Australian I will pull a Marklar_33 and support New Zealand.
Your form wasn’t fantastic in the land of the long white cloud last tour, but I totally agree that dropping Renshaw would be totally ******. Just like dropping Cowan from NSW was ****** and the fact Cowan isn’t even in the conversation ffs

I sort of get why Cowan isn't in the conversation anymore. We've now built a system that doesn't reward him or other older players because we're looking to develop talent, like an AFL club. What Pat Howard doesn't realise is that cricket isn't the same as invasion sports, and you can still be elite as an older player.

Problem is we went down that road with Voges and Watto. There are better young options worth blooding rather than a stop-gap who is just serviceable.

That said, would pick a 40yo keeper at tye moment.

If we had a really healthy state competition I don't think it would matter, you'd pick the best player for each position, like they do with international soccer. Because our state sides have been massively weakened and there's very little competition now, there's not as strong options presenting themselves at that age.

I could be content with that if Shaun Marsh wasn’t a constant spectre
