There was no chance of him leaving in January, City can't be held to ransom since money is not a problem.

City score the least amount of goals at home of any team, I blame Mancini directly. We have seen time and time again the defensive crap he deploys and his fear of taking the attacking initiative in matches when they are in the balance.

Leighton Baines proves again hes probably one of the best LBs in the league. IMO hes gone from Everton in the near future. Bayern Munich/Barca type club will come a knocking soon.

Anichebe was suprisingly decent. Nearly cost them the game after he was sent off. Still think Yakubu is getting ridiculously bad treatment by Moyes.

Surely James Milner is one of the worst transfers in recent memory. 20 what mill. Subbed off at half time and deservedly so too. They went from trying to get Milos Krasic to signing James Milner. Thatd be like Andy Lee dumping Megan Gale to date Susan Boyle.

Most of there transfers this year have been poor infact. Boateng has provided nothing. Kolarov has been terrible considering the money he cost. Hes decent but 5-6 mill decent not 20 mill fantastic. Yaya and Silva have been successes. Balotelli too early to call but im not liking it so far.

Either way its a HUGE win for Everton and puts there season back on track in a big way

Everton were very lucky and it's predictable how no one has mentioned;

Everton's ridiculous luck and Howard's brilliant game. Embers your hate for City is obvious with the lack of mentioning his name - he made 4 or 5 very good saves in the last half hour to keep the scores level.

And why has no one mentioned Hibbert's blatant penalty goalkeeping?

I don't know why City are copping it - they started slow but played well and were quite clearly the better side.

You overrate Everton. They are terrible nowadays. The only chance in hell they had of winning was with luck.

Fact is City should pummel a side like Everton, like they would a Wigan but they arnt. Luck isnt the only factor at the end of the day.

Everton had some great performances (Baines particularly) and City once again lacked the firepower from the bench and the team itself to bring about a change in result. When you need goals you dont want to be relying on Jo

I only saw the last 30 minutes, but I thought Saha was really good.

Prior to his arrival, Everton were just being pressured massively because they had no outlet further up the pitch to help them out, and as a result, City were able to enjoy a sustained period of dominance.

Once Saha came on, though, Everton finally got the outlet they needed up forward, and his presence enabled them to relieve some of the pressure being placed upon them. His hold up play was very good, he won a lot of headers and took the ball down nicely from long/direct passes as well.

He turned out to be pretty important in the end, at least in my eyes.

The FA don't make the rules either.

FIFA do.

Handball is only punishable if it's deemed to be deliberate. If your arms are by your side it can't realistically be determined to be deliberate since you haven't made yourself any bigger.

It's an interpretation issue, not a rules one.

Hibberts arm was extend as part of moving. Its a natural body movement, his arm was originally covered by Jo who spun out the way. Would have been incredibly harsh to give it against him.

Could have been given but the ref's vision was blocked by Jo.

About time we've had some luck this year. We were outplayed for the majority of the game but still got the points. :D
