Loves it... I hope Chelsea and Spurs keep going well in the CL. Chelsea are more experienced so should be able to balance the two but I can see Spurs dropping lots of points because there heads are turned a little by the glory of europe.

Now all we gotta do is keep winning.
Ah thanks so much Jod. I was really having a crap morning due to Spurs but you have instantly put a massive smile on my face. :thumbsu:

We were crap - no doubting that but we drop points because we are missing half our first 11 not because our heads are turned.

The look on his face was priceless. Just like 'Oh wow that was stupid'
Tbh, like most French players he's a confidence player.

Sitting on the bench all of the time probably doesn't do anything for his confidence - and with his rare opportunities he's probably trying too hard to impress, because he is a very good defender.

Probably in his best interests to move away somewhere where he's going to get regular first team football.

Spurs midfield has a serious lacks of creativity. Even when modric is playing. You need a few players in attack who can split defences.

Huddlestone has been a big loss. Good player. Spurs have had some pretty big injuries this season and are doing well to hang in for the CL spots.

The fallout from this board if Spurs take 4th off Chelsea will be 10x the size of Liverpool dropping out of the 4 last year.

Red hot favourites were the Blues at the start of the season.

Yes and No. I didn't get to see the match this morning but I can see your viewpont when I look at the team sheet:

Jenas - Probably the biggest tease of a footballer on the planet. Always looks so bright on the ball but is physically unable of creating a decent attacking move.

Palacios - Handy to have if we are trying to 'save' a game, but has no attacking side to his game at all; Not really an issue if he is played to his position.

Pienaar - Hard working, yes. A good squad player, yes. However I wouldn't rely on him to spark a win.

Lennon - Benefits the most when we are at our attacking best. When he is utilised by our creative players he looks a million dollars. Games like this morning when he doesn't have the quality around him, he turns to water.

Kranjcar - Limited opportunities to flourish and either plays great or poorly. I'm just gonna assume it was the latter this morning.

On the flipside, when we have our settled line up I think we have one of the more creative midfields in the league.

THudd - Pretty defencively inept for a CDM however his vision and range of passing is often the catalyst for a lot of our attacking moves.

Modric - Is very, very, very good. I don't think I really need to explain his worth.

VDV - This season, he has often been the difference between us looking bright and looking dull. Aside from his goals, he is very creative in the attacking third. If we had a competent striker he would have had a lot more assists this year IMO.

Lennon on the right in this midfield becomes much more relevant.

We won't make top four, that's almost a given, though next year we will prove we're a better team than Spurs and Chelski.

On a side note, as said before, I don't think Tottenham will adapt to playing tough European clashes, then travelling away in the premier league.

We had a weeks break between matches. I think we have a decent record of EPL games after our CL games.

Huddlestone, VDV, Bale.

All missing from last night. Together with Modric and Lennon we have enough creativity.
