I know, killer thread topic right?:p

Just something I've been curious about for a while & can't seem to find an answer anywhere else. Before every game, at least that I see live, just before the bounce I notice Corey Enright does maybe 20 pushups before getting in position. He's the only one. Has anyone else noticed this or know why he does it? Superstition perhaps?

I know he is an accredited personal trainer, but I'd imagine if it was of great benefit as a warm up maybe the whole team would do it. But then it would look kinda weird if they did it at the same time, like a haka.
It is a slow news day, definitely.

Seriously though to anyone who's fit - really fit - doing pushups is almost a warmup. I used to do hundreds during warmups when I studied Karate. Once you get to that level of fitness (and footy players would be even higher again), you can zip through them pretty quickly.

Didn't know that, would love to know all the little interesting things that aren't worthy of a thread, would be a good read
I think that's what this thread has turned into...well that's what it was right from the start :) Maybe we should start a "Did you know" or odd spot type of thing.

Yeah I can punch through a few, I'm reasonably light which helps in the bodyweight stuff. What is it you have to do for black belt test? 100? 150?

More than that, and it would be before every class, not just gradings. You lose count fairly quickly - if there's 25 of you, and each person counts out 10, it doesn't take long to add up. Add situps as well and heart is going fairly well by that point.
