Why don't the forwards we recruited play forward? Or at least stay forward not huffing and puffing all over the ground?
Is it a coincidence that Richmond look more dangerous after Lade departed? And on that, wouldn’t it help to have an
ex-forward as a forwards coach? Crazy thinking I know.

Thirdly, are our poor skills a direct result of our absurd gameplan? Players have reduced options going forward due to the numbers we push behind the ball, & manic two way running is causing added fatigue leading to poor decision making & skills?

Hartlett, Broadbent, Pittard, (White, Impey) missing from yesterday's side for various reasons. All five were cornerstones of our transitional ball movement in previous years.

And we're shocked when we maroon the likes of Dixon or Sam Gray one-out and can't get anything going against even the worst sides (goalless quarter against Carlton three weeks ago, 15 points in a half against Freo yesterday).

Whatever the grand plan is in terms of this uberaccountable rolling crush, sometimes you just have to throw everything out and play to your strengths on the day.

Leaving 3-4 men forward to provide any sort of bridge to goal could've helped.

And if it meant Bailey Banfield, Cam Sutcliffe, Adam Cerra, Auto Giro or whoever the hell some of those Freo players were outnumbered and beat our supposedly elite midfield, so f**king be it.

At least we'd have given ourselves a fighting chance.
