What to do ….?
The guy has to get a game before the season ends. We can’t cut him without even giving him an opportunity.

Maybe Dane gets a week off before the finals.

If we think he's shown enough, then we won't cut him in the first place. Simple. Another 1 year contract, or two if we REALLY think he's shown enough. Then he has all of 2023 to get opportunities. But I am pretty certain that we will not **** with team unity and cohesion approaching finals, just to keep Gould settled on the list.

If you're giving Dane, or say Paddy (1st full season), a rest in the leadup to finals, you've only got a couple of weeks left to do it. You'll want them back for the final couple of games, before there's a bye anyway. And we want to win all remaining games. So you've either got this week, unlikely or we'd have heard about a debut, or the North game in 2 weeks. Even then, if Dane and Paddy are feeling fine, neither will be happy at getting rested, and it's a risk to mess with continuity when you've got a week off pre-finals already.

Not sure where you got that from Donza but this comes from the official BOM site:

Min 11 Max 18

Possible rainfall: 4 to 6 mm

Chance of any rain: 90%

Partly cloudy. High (80%) chance of showers. Light winds becoming south to southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h during the morning then becoming light during the afternoon.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but it looks like it's going to be the Fumbling Swans v the Bumbling Crows.
Never ever doubt Donza the weather god!
