I wouldn't be so sure of an easy win. I think Liverpool will win but Leeds will be no fun to play against this season.

Geez im not that confident. Leeds have nothing to lose on opening day against the Champions. They are a good side. I'm expecting to win but I wouldnt imagine a 5-0 scoreline.

Then hopefully whoever is playing City in a couple of weeks can do us a favour.

Can we just drop all talk of Munich and Hillsborough. It's clear it's in the past and everyone here has enough respect to know both incidents shouldn't be mocked or used in one upmanship on a footy forum.

The Munich song definitely crossed the line, and thankfully it's in the past. But it reflects the mutual hatred between fans of Liverpool and Man United, derived from a fierce rivalry over many years.

It's not just about those two clubs. All games in the UK, and most of Europe, has segregation of the two sets of fans by fences or a line of police. The atmosphere during a game can get pretty intense. I wonder if the chanting allows the fans to let off steam without the need to get physical with each other.

What happens on a moderated football forum in Australia is another story. I see the banter on here but don't get involved because I don't support a Premier League club.
