Until we get our midfield back it's going to be hard to dig ourselves out of this hole. He may not score as many as he should, but we are a far better team when Werner is playing. He's one of those players where you really notice the impact they have when they're absent.

Chelsea are in poor form but certainly still right in the race. It's not like they are 10 points back.

Good win for us after weirdly going behind. Did love to see us score a goal while Newcastle were trying to pretend they were injured. You see it all the time with teams who know they are up against it to find a result so they resort to these tactics. Newcastle players know the dangers of a corner and winning the second ball to attack again so they just go down in a heap and wait for the ref to stop play. Was good to see the ref not fall for it and they got what they deserved.

If he hadnt pretended to be injured, he's probably on the far post to prevent Jota scoring.

Konate was best on for me. Looked an absolute beast out there and the hightest compliment I can give him is that we didnt miss VVD.

To be fair the play should have stopped, pretend or otherwise. He was holding his head and it's not right that the ref gets to make a judgement on how serious or not the head injury is. Sets a bad precedent. Same thing happened to us on the weekend, player down after a mid-air collision holding his head and the ref let it go.

If two defenders run into each other play should never be stopped.

If Refs do start stopping play when defenders run into each other payers will learn that they can shut down any set piece or worse an open play that is looking bad just by running into each other. And they will do it.

The Newcastle player was back on the field about 20 seconds later - get up and play.

Hayden looked up, saw the ball was heading to the opposition on the edge of the penalty area then decided to go back down. Right call to play on, and he was completely fine. Plus us others said it was his own player that he collided with.

If two players run into each other resulting in a head injury, play most certainly should be stopped.

Although if one of them looks up to see who has the ball first, then goes down holding his head, you can understand the ref waving play on.

Wasnt very effective against us. Crucial 4 points dropped at home against injury depleted teams with thin squads.

I think we've played our best attacking football with CHO on the left myself.

6 points. Drawn against crappy Burnley, United and now Everton.
