Good thing they're not at Goodison anymoreGreat time for our game again, love it.
Goodison has been pretty unkind to us over the years. Need a much better performance than we had against Wolves if we want the three points.
.That would be fine.We never seem to win there, can't see it changing this week.

Looking like a below average round tbh.
Looking like a below average round tbh.
Match of the Round:
Aston Villa v Manchester United (An undermanned United getting a result would be huge for them)
Compelling:
Newcastle v Chelsea (The Geordies would be smarting after last week but face another stern test)
Watchable:
Brighton v Sunderland (Actually think the Seagulls will win this comfortably)
Tottenham v Liverpool (Fun fact: Both teams have scored in 10 of the last 12 encounters)
Leeds v Crystal Palace (A draw wouldn't be a disaster for either side)
Everton v Arsenal (Everton have been see-sawing but can't see them back in the winners list this round)
Just give them the points:
Manchester City v West Ham
Meh:
Bournemouth v Burnley (But super watchable personally with most Knockout tippers choosing the Cherries this week, carn the Clarets)
Fulham v Nottingham Forest (could actually be a decent game but not much at stake from a neutral perspective)
No thanks:
Wolves v Brentford
Cheers for the insights A_R. Plenty to digest there. Particularly keen on the Wolves v Brentford game now. Might even tip them in the knockout comp.Man U missing players but have a weirdly strong record against Villa, Villa haven't beaten them since 2022. Obviously players and managers change but sometimes teams are just shit against certain teams.
Newcastle might have players on a days less rest after their Carabao Cup game tomorrow morning, Chelsea looked like they rotated quite a bit so their players should be largely fresh plus they have a deep squad.
Newcastle looked to be in OK form and then were absolutely garbage against Sunderland. Shocked they only lost by 1. Hard to tell if that was a blip in a derby or if they are shaky again.
BHA/Sunderland could be a fun game but Sunderlands away record is poor.
City love to batter WHU and I think that could get ugly.
I think this will be Wolves best chance to get their first win though. Brentford might put out their best side against City in the Carabao Cup in the hope City field a weaker team because of the short turnaround before the West Ham game.
But Brentfords squad isn't deep and Wolves might have got some confidence from scoring 3 against Arsenal, so a rested Wolves against a potentially tired or rotated Brentford team could lead to an upset.
I said in the previous matchday thread that they're going to have their work cut out for them over the next month. They will lose a couple of depth players too.Sunderland have four starters out due to African Cup.
Gusto is embarrassing.
