I’ve noticed a bit of that from Arsenal supporters towards Aston Villa lately. It’s like they have only this season discovered that they don’t like Aston Villa lol.
It's because they've been a bogey team for us, they've had a habit of taking vital points off us late in the season.Very odd. It seems like a fair chunk were pissed off that Villa dared be mentioned as a very low odds contender. People always enjoy underdogs in the mix; it's not a vendetta against Arsenal.
The Arsenal ire should still be directed at their most likely obstacle, Pep's galacticos - even a more faulty, less relentless version than his very best City teams.

That as well as Emery being their manager and Martinez turning into an arrogant knobhead since he left us.
I don't have any disdain for them personally but I see why others do.

I was going to post something similar, but we'll probably drop points to Wolves too given how we're travelling.United are as tragic as ever.
I read Caicedo is once again suspended for the next match with another yellow card this morning. Apparently that’s 8 yellows and 1 card in his last 12 matches in all competitions, wow.
Before his moment of semi aggressive violence against Arsenal last month, Chelsea could have closed to 3 points at the top of the league. Surprised to see it’s now 15. Some comical defending this morning. Possible handball to Gusto as well that wasn’t paid.
That’s a poor result for United at home. Wolves have actually been decent in the handful of matches I’ve seen them however don’t have the points or results to show for it.
Everton and Newcastle with some important wins on the road. Such a chaotic time of the season with matches every 3 days, hard to read too much into December form given the nature of it. Whatever way you can win is the priority, very pleased with the Arsenal performance this morning with the goals finally to show for it.
Geez.
If it is taking this long it is not clear and obvious.
Which is unlike Villa this season, with their last ditch defensive efforts being strong. But it looks like it's caught up to them tonight. You can't win a title with your opposition having the better chances most games.
Mountain out of a molehill stuff imo.
Arteta probably should have shook hands with Emery first instead of celebrating with his staff but who can blame him.
And Emery probably should have waited for Arteta instead of walking off, but who can blame him.
Merino absolutely dodge a bullet. Villa have every right to be upset.
I don’t like this. It’s poor sportsmanship to shake hands with your own staff before you do with the opposing manager.Mountain out of a molehill stuff imo.

Sorry for enjoying a statement win after we had been struggling recently, playing a team that had won 10 on the bounce and beating them convincingly, with close to the best we have played all season.Bit over the top isn’t it? Enjoy the win but no need for that
Also, if Arteta did what Emery did pretty sure the internet would have to shut down.
Well celebrate your team… not smash another team with childish commentsSorry for enjoying a statement win after we had been struggling recently, playing a team that had won 10 on the bounce and beating them convincingly, with close to the best we have played all season.
I'll be sure to run future celebratory posts past you prior to posting in the future.
As others explained the personal (and somewhat toxic) animosity towards Villa has been brewing in a subsection of the Arsenal supporter base for various reasons. I don't think Villa supporters are aware of the rivalry but as neutrals we should respect it.Well celebrate your team… not smash another team with childish comments
Why?As others explained the personal (and somewhat toxic) animosity towards Villa has been brewing in a subsection of the Arsenal supporter base for various reasons. I don't think Villa supporters are aware of the rivalry but as neutrals we should respect it.
It feels nice to respect a small section of arsenal fans having a disrespectful, one way rivalry with a club who don't even have any/many fans on here?It feels nice. I respect your right to disagree in the strongest of terms.
I questioned it, they explained their reasons, it isn't going to continue bothering me. You're welcome to be as furious as you like about it. I'd prefer not to keep speaking about it though if that's okay with you.It feels nice to respect a small section of arsenal fans having a disrespectful, one way rivalry with a club who don't even have any/many fans on here?
