Maybe I missed all the other posts at half time predicting a City win

Arrested Development Flirt GIF

I don’t know what’s the bigger story, City winning from 2-0 down at half time or City winning 4 titles in 5 years and still getting booed off at half time of any game. 😂

Throw Lenglet into the mix and it's quite the performance to only concede 4! Especially when Lloris went full implosion twice instead of one. Gave him too much credit

It's frightening how quickly Hugo has declined at just 35. Hate to say it but Conte has to make the tough call and drop him, even if Forster is your backup. The 3rd goal was appalling. Should only get beat at the near post by an effort blasted on target high into the roof of the net. To get beaten by a left footer using his right foot low to the ground at your near post is what we see from keepers in my veterans 35+ league.

Commentators mentioned that his save percentage was the lowest ever of his Spurs career.

Imagine how much their crowd will boo them if they somehow manage another champions league choke.

Lloris might not be a top keeper any more but the near post goals conceded against Arsenal and City were not evidence of it. They were both hard shots that were deflected giving him no time to react. Sometimes s**t happens.

Nah, you'd expect any professional keeper to save those. The deflection was only minor for the City goal too. They are piss easy to save by positioning next to and slightly ahead of the near post. For the Arsenal goal Lloris was behind the near post and for the Mahrez goal he left a gap at the near post. Basic keeping 101 here. He needs to be dropped.

The only way a decent keeper should get beat at the near post is with power high into the roof of the net or a curling effort that curls in to the far post. Both of these are highly unlikely.

Only just seen the result, geez. Not surprised at all they looked tired in the second half after playing their grand final last weekend, but even then. Damn those are some embarrassing goals to concede. Classic Spurs.

Looks like there won't be a St Woolwich day for them this season to celebrate.

Thanks Captain Hindsight. In the heat of the moment Lloris has to instantly position himself ready to stop the shot or cut out the cross to the other City forwards. He had the shot from Mahrez covered until the touch from the defender. When you are talking about a deflection from a hard hit shot from a couple of metres if the ball deviates just a few inches it will give the goalie no time to react.

On the arsenal one he had 2 hold and touch his near post twice as Saka had the ball, which shows he has no confidence, but also has his positioning out of whack. And his balance is thrown off. Not allowing him to get down to what should be regulation balls quick enough.

He is a liability. No other way to say.

Might not go down as a stat today but the first city goal would be his 5th direct mistake leading to a goal. All since October.

Any competent keeper is positioned at the near post. You don't leave a gap. How else would an attacker score on their weak foot? It's shocking keeping, end of. Hardly blasted at him either.

I hadn't even seen the first goal. Stops the defender from clearing it and serves it up on a plate to Alvarez.

Lloris cost Spurs two goals this morning. What does he have to do to get dropped? All keepers make mistakes but when it becomes a regular habit something needs to be done. I don't like seeing Les Bleu's keeper for the last 10 years end up like this.

Lloris would currently have to be one of the worst starting keepers in the league, how many mistakes has he made this season ?
Not being harsh on the near post one it's 5

If you include things like that probably double digits.

For example he made a good but regulation Lloris save in the first half from what was a better shot than the Odegaard one he let in at the weekend. The quality of goals conceded has dropped on top of the absolute howlers too.

Spurs should be all over Raya from Brentford. Quality keeper.
It's who we have been most heavily linked to so far

Livakovic from Zagreb/Croatia looked good at the WC. And when they knocked us out of the europa league when their manager was in jail

Yeah, it's not good when it doesn't take a great effort on goal to bet your keeper regularly. Again, soft goals happen to every single keeper but over and over again is when it needs to be sorted.

Odegaard effort was pretty good, right in the corner with just enough power. I'll exempt Hugo from criticism on that one, it would take a super save to stop it.
