This United team still hasn’t been able to work under a proper manager though. They replaced Solskjaer with a guy who has hardly managed in the last ten years. The optimism around his appointment was baffling.

The United squad is as good as anyone's. But the tactics and team selection are questionable. He seems stuck on this 4-2-2-2 formation but none of the defensive mids are creative so you see a lot of failed possession. I don't understand why you wouldn't start Fernandes every game. Lingard is also wasted talent. Ronaldo and Sancho are both underperforming.

This team would have given Wolves more problems.

de Gea
Wan-Bissaka Jones Varane Shaw
McTominay
Fernandes Lingard
Greenwood Cavani Rashford

In all seriousness.. are they? Cavani and Ronaldo are both grandparents. AWB is a good defensive right back but is ordinary going forward. Maguire the less said the better. Varane has been exposed now that he's not next to a world class commanding CB. Shaw is fat and has his issues but can be great on his day. McTominay would start for the bottom half teams but wouldn't be in the squads of the top 3. Fernandes has shown that he's a penalty merchant. 5 goals in 18 when he doesn't take the pens and 3 came on the opening day. Rashford has shown flashes but he's never been consistent enough to show he's better than a squad player. Greenwood is young and Sancho is as well, they have time on their side.

Its all about finding a system to suit our players. We need quality fullbacks to feed our forwards, AWB & Shaw are both s**t going forward, you also then have a midfield that is bottom 10 standard, there’s no wonder Cavani & Ronaldo look average. We desperately need some quality midfielders.

Bit harsh on Varane, copped a few injuries and it wouldn’t be easy playing for United this season so far with the shitshow that’s been going on.

Fernandes just hasn’t copped with having his idol at the club, in fact I think the whole club has struggled with Ronaldo’s presence.

That was Varane at Madrid though, they weren't as good without Ramos in the team and Varane leading the line. I mean you don't sell a supposedly world class CB for 34mill... unless you don't think he's going to be up to scratch anymore.

Interesting a source close to a player and then sources close to players mentioned in ESPN article seemingly negative to Rangnick.

There’s serious divide at United right now, and the players attitudes on the pitch is disgraceful. They’re probably thinking “this guy has done nothing and is only here for 6 months”. Bunch of overpaid lazy bastards, can’t stand em.

United at a club level have been making terrible decisions for years. If it were a company there's no way the same people calling the shots would have lasted years like they have.

Regarding the players they really are coming across as a soft bunch of entitled twits. They probably liked Ole because he was never mean to them or made them train too hard 🙄
