That's how the EPL is reported.

We beat Spurs or Liverpool 70-80% of the time spent analysing the game will be about those teams not us.
Surely as a Carlton fan you understand why this is. All about filling minutes on post match shows, radio programs and column inches in the paper.

You or the pies could lose to the Saints or North and more would be written about that than the winning team

UK sports coverage is pretty rank.

You may as well watch MUTV or LFCTV half the time and you'll get just as balanced coverage as you find on Sky or BT. In fact not that long ago, Sky used a piece in a game between Liverpool and Southampton that came directly from LFCTV.

Clubs are talked down to, or ignored. The broadcasters don't seem to realise that while the "biggest" teams in the league have an awful lot of supporters, there are many more out there that don't support them.

I'd complain if I didn't get their channels on the snide.

LOOK WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU PLAY!

Not sure how Kyle Walker is appealing for offside.. he's behind the goal line as is Ederson.

You're offside if you're in an offside position and you make a move towards the ball. Maguire did that long before he was shot by a sniper from the stands.

You don't need to wait for the ball to reach the player for him to be offside.
Incorrect. The offside law specifcally addresses this. Foul is penalised before offside if the player hasnt played the ball yet. Despit what you belueve defenders do not have free license to taje out opponents in an offaide position.

We know what the law says genius, we're saying its stupid and wrong. He didn't take out a player away from the ball, he took out a player attacking the ball (barely touched him obviously) after he started in an offside position. Harry Maguire is not beyond him if he starts in an onside position. Simple as that. Please use logic for once.

In situations where:

  • a player moving from, or standing in, an offside position is in the way of an opponent and interferes with the movement of the opponent towards the ball this is an offside offence if it impacts on the ability of the opponent to play or challenge for the ball; if the player moves into the way of an opponent and impedes the opponent's progress (e.g blocks the opponent) the offence should be penalised under Law 12
  • a player in an offisde position is moving towards the ball with the intention of playing the ball and is fouled before playing or attempting to play the ball, or challenging an opponent for the ball, the foul is penalised as it has occurred before the offside offence
  • an offence is committed against a player in an offside position who is already playing or attempting to play the ball, or challenging an opponent for the ball, the offside offence is penalised as it has occurred before the foul challenge

Incedible how some still do not understand this even though it is in black and white in the laws of the game.

I guarantee you'll still argue otherwise though.

It's more than that in the EPL however.

If as we've seen in the past Carlton aren't performing the AFL will ensure we don't get any prime time games on tv.

The whole EPL is dictated to by TV to ensure certain clubs are in those spots far more often.

That means they benefit financially to a far greater degree because of this bias.
