Harsh on Villa you feel, they battered us in that first 20. Our midfield is so piss weak, throw into the fact that the best player on the park by far should be wearing the lily white of spurs then you get the general gist of how it is to be a spurs fan.

Think VAR got it right in both cases - the first one could have hit the arm but the only conclusive thing from the video evidence was that it hit him in the stomach.

The second one he took the risk sliding and while on initial viewing it appeared he played the ball, it looked to be contact on the Spurs player then the ball kicked into him.

Leaving that much space against a front 3 that is all about pace is beyond stupid to be honest.

Drinkwater has been horrible as expected unfortunately.

Unlucky not to be 2-0 up but then after the Spurs equaliser they have been the better side and it was a matter of when not if they scored their second.

Also in the last 20 of that half Villa struggling to get Grealish on the ball - partly because they're resorting to long balls against a backline who is sitting reasonably deep. Need to get him on the ball and roaming.

Still the game is there for the taking but Spurs attack looks dangerous so it could end up 2-5 here.

Very good analysis of the game so far. Play like you did in that first 20 minutes and there’s no way you’ll go down. Question marks defensively and Drinkwater is finished as a footballer though. Missing Mings big time out there
