Am I watching the same coverage? He’s come on and said it’s a bad rule that he doesn’t like but while it’s in the rule book, the refs have to apply it. Can’t pick and choose which rules they apply, so they’re in a no win position.

The rule is in complete disarray and when you have a slow mo look at it five minutes after the fact you’re going to alienate a lot more fans than you gain.

I'm not in favour of changing rules part way through the season but this stupid handball rule is deciding the result of games. Needs to be fixed ASAP.

So it wasn’t even a foul, was very close to being offside and Dier was pushed... but yeah.
And yep the ref did as instructed but its comical.
