So Norwich, Villa and Bmouth get relegated?
Well, I don't know.

There are so many ramifications.

I personally think the league should go on with games behind closed doors.

There is too much at stake, for multiple clubs, to abandon the season entirely.

You can't have a winner without relegation. You can't have a winner without determining European places etc.

The only thing that is clear cut is Liverpool winning the league IMO.

They have the 3 worst GD's, in the bottom 3 after 28-29 games. Not exactly undeserved but I don't think it will happen.

But you just said so yourself. You can't have a winner at one end of the table and not relegate at the bottom, you can't pick and choose which parts of the table to finalise.

You also can't arbitrarily relegate teams, award European spots to teams, etc.

Would be absolutely undeserved. Brighton haven't won a game in 2020, surely based on that trend they'd be relegated?

If you cancelled the season though would fans have to be paid full refunds? That would probably bankrupt some lower league clubs

I know.

I agree with everything you're saying.

I agree with everything you're saying.

But you're saying Liverpool should be given the title, which I disagree with if the season gets called off.

I know.

It's not as clear cut as I made, admittedly. Though, I think that the only clear thing is they'd end up Champions 99.999999999% of the time in this situation.

What SM is saying if you cancel the season you can’t declare a winner. The only option would be to write the whole thing off as if it never existed. Would be the case even if Liverpool were already mathematically certain to win the title

Yeah, I don't reckon it should be cancelled.

There is a precedent for this already. The 1939/40 season was cancelled due to the outbreak of WWII. Admittedly only three matches had been played but that’s besides the point

Incorrect.

lol. a strike is nothing like a national emergency and it's baseball. chilean league the closest precedent. common sense will prevail, the title is effectively won. cl/ do qualification & relegation a huge issue to sort out, can't imagine a solution at this stage.

So the NBA has just announced the suspension of the season.

Will he premier league follow suit and make Liverpool wait for that elusive PL title.

That was done on the back of one of their players testing positive to Corona, the suspicion that some of his team mates may have it as well and a number of other teams has been exposed to them in the last few days.

It was beyond a lockout situation
