It’s about giving Arsenal crap for being 9th and they will be in next seasons CL if City’s ban holds and 5th place from last seasons gets in for next seasons competition.
I know that but you said spurs, and if arsenal are in it next season due to 18/19 positions then so would spurs. Give your head a wobble please

Could you imagine being a City, United or Spurs supporter, giving Arsenal shit for their league position and only now realising that at this stage they will be in the CL next season over those clubs.
How?

That's exactly what they should do.

I wonder if they'd relegate 5 teams next season to revert back to a 20 team league.
The Telegraph mentioned it in an article yesterday also.

Makes the most sense IMO, and well if they want to get rid of the League Cup, maybe keep this long term also.

Hull playing connect 4 with Leverkusen. Weird.

Southampton tried to play Noughts and Crosses with Norwich, Man City stepped in instead. Leyton Orient did an FM simulation.

22 teams in a top division is not sustainable.
The quality drops when there are too many games in the schedule. Either the whole season is written off or some special arrangement has to be made.

Not quite sure how you can say that with any authority when the Championship has 24 teams? The quality drop off isn't due to number of games but is instead because of different budgets.

If it were to happen it would only be for 1 season

If this season doesn’t get completed, I don’t know how instead of null and voided the season, you still do relegation and promotion. It is ridiculously unfair to everyone involved.

Saying that you will only relegate 2 teams rather than 3 is still unfair to those teams. Villa is only 2 points off 16th and Norwich is 6 points from safety and they would feel some level of comfort that they can go on the type of run that Leicester went on when they won 7 of their last 9 games to finish 14th in 2014-15. If the solution is then to cull the PL back from 22 to 20 teams by saying that you will relegate 5 teams, that isn’t a solution at all. How is that remotely fair?

UEFA said that they aim to finish the season by June 30. They won’t accomodate teams who were in the top two of the next division down. It won’t happen.

There won’t even be a football league at this rate. I swear half the clubs are going to go to the ****ing wall

It’s looking increasingly like that.

I don’t know how the AFL is still going on right now. They’re literally at the limit of 100 for indoor gatherings, that says a lot.

Because they prioritise money over everything.

No because they're prioritising normalcy. It's a huge morale boost to not only everyone involved but all supporters to be able to take their mind off what's going on if only for two hours.

They're all taking huge pay cuts.

They're also trying to get rounds in now before things get worse.
