With Europa league at stake? Who are they going to bring in as an interim? 'Arry?
They're not competing with Wolves, I'll be absolutely staggered if they win Europa.

Is winning Europa going to save his job?

They're in the quarter finals of Europa, why sack him before they're out?

He's gone at the end of the season whether he quits or is sacked, so why do it now when they could possibly still win silverware?

Of course, that's CL qualification.

There are mitigating behind the scenes factors at Spurs that would cause most managers issues. But if he gets Europa he surely continues the journey.

You think he's gone regardless of whether he wins it or not?

New manager bounce would be my thought. Rejuvenate the squad after what's been a pretty ordinary season.

I just don't see them winning it anyway so I don't see the harm in trying something.

No point keeping him either. I mean we can all play this game.
17 league losses. More than Ipswich.
Should have been gone already.

Think winning Europa would only further enhance why he should be gone already. If he won Europa despite his shit tactics, formation, team selections it'd only serve to show someone competent should have romped it in.

Can't think there's more than a few stragglers who don't want him sacked at this point.

You really have been drinking the Kool Aid.

Surprised you have any clue about what he's been doing given how much you brag about not watching football this season.

I get wanting the Aussie to do well but we're long past that.

Wonder if his ego would let him drop further down the table (or even the Championship).

It's not even about wanting an Aussie to do well it's the clear issues at Spurs coming from Levy that have seen multiple managers try and fail. One of the 'failures' currently has a side 3rd in the PL with a fraction of the budget.

What 'ego'? Why wouldn't he go to a smaller PL club like Bournemouth if given the opportunity?

Londoners turned on him a lot longer than anyone on here did. Most on here wanted an Aussie to succeed. But we're barely going above a point a game.

45 from last 40 I think I read.

Thought we were pretty stiff, can't remember a game at Anfield where we bossed second half really.

Just didn't convert the chances we had.

The midfield does need a serious overhaul, but that was probably the best game Paqueta has played for at least a season also, he actually went forward with the ball with purpose. Just need some more pace in the middle really. Would expect Alvarez off to Dortmund, Rodriguez back to Betis, and Soucek potentially off also, so we probably need at least 2 if not 3 replacements.

Slot was smart and dodged a bullet by turning them down.
If Iraola has half a brain he'll take any job but from Manager Killer FC.

Even if he wins Europa somehow and stays he won't survive beyond Christmas. The fans demand a mid table finish and no trophies after all. The atmosphere at the ground is too toxic for it to continue

No idea, I don't follow the sport like I used to. I presume they'd be able to attract someone more capable than what's currently going on.

Just feels awfully complacent to just let the season meander along the way they're going. Same obviously goes for RVN but very different circumstances there.

With a month of the season left? I highly doubt it.

In the summer they'll have a much broader range of managers to pick from. Would be moronic and self-destructive to panic hire a manager now or just chuck Mason in charge again.

Np point sacking a manager now.
But this is next years champions league at stake.

I think championship is not possible. The fans of whatever club will protest. Back to Japan or ALeague, or maybe maybe celtic if Rogers takes another job.

Huh? Who's protesting?

He'd easily walk into a Bournemouth/Palace/Brentford/Brighton level club with his philosophy and given the right set up. Even a promoted club would be happy to give him a go. He's been at Spurs for two years. Nuno was an absolute disaster at Spurs on an even greater scale and look at him at Forest.

The idea that a club in the Championship, let alone any of the above, would protest his appointment is simply ridiculous.

For all the rubbish about 'people only like Ange because he's Aussie' what seems to be the reality is 'Aussies don't like him because he's Aussie'.

A good mate is over from London at the moment, massive Gooner, goes to essentially every game home and away and he loves Ange and hates the fact he's at Spurs. It's not just Aussies who still think he's decent.

He'd be happy with him at Arsenal would he?

Not now that he's been at Spurs, don't be silly. Nothing to do with his ability as a manager though.

He also wouldn't want Harry Kane at Arsenal for the same reason.

Ange will have no shortage of offers once he’s gone from Spurs. Managers with much worse resumes than him continue to get recycled. If he’s willing to go abroad he might be able to go somewhere fighting for European places but bottom half of the prem is probably the best he could hope for if he wants to wait around in England.

If they happened to win Europa he’ll walk, and if they don’t obviously he’ll be sacked.

That's ridiculous to me anyway but ignoring the rivalry, he thinks Ange could win them a league?

Kane makes more sense, Spurs through and through. Ange has been there 2 seasons.

You asked the question I gave the answer lol. He thought he was brilliant while he was at Celtic and even now still loves the way he talks about the game and the way he sees it, but wouldn't want him at Arsenal because he's been at Spurs. He's a pom, Arsenal through and through, but thinks Ange is great. Kinda goes against the narrative that it's only Aussies who still like Ange, or the idea that even ****ing Championship clubs (LOL) would protest his appointment.

Sol Campbell should render any “I wouldn’t want that person at Arsenal, he was at Tottenham!” discussion moot. :p
