Wasn't a large chunk of that spent replacing Kane? You've gambled on bringing in a lot of kids and with their development and injuries to players it's been a poor season. Which top line players have you brought in to replace Kane?

First goal was good play, hard to defend against.
Once Dalot gets destroyed there's no hope for the defenders.
Mazraoui slips over and Barnes is clean through.

They left him last season with no striker.

This season they had 19 pts after 12 games end of Nov before all the injuries hit. They'd just beaten City 4-0 and Villa 4-1 two games prior. The loss to Ipswich in between was disappointing but if they'd won that they would've been third.
Injuries had huge impact. Love Archie Gray ..but asking him to play CB?!

Has his faults no doubt, biggest one to me is whether he plans for other teams' weaknesses/strengths as focuses more on own style. Also like Bielsa the style seems to take a bit out of the players and a lot of injuries.

I think Spurs' fans (not here) seem a little entitled ...oh we should be top 6 every year. They all lament Poch now but sacked six months after reaching a CL final. Yeah yeah they were going sh*t but should have ridden it out. Nuno wasn't given enough time.

Hope Ange finds another job, reckon he'd go ok in Germany

Apparently he's made the most saves per game of any recent United keeper. But that stat hides that last season he made 3.9 saves per game with 1 error leading to a goal. This season 2.8 saves per game and 3 errors leading to goals. His form has gone down and for a keeper that can come down to confidence. I don't understand why Matic would stick the boot in.

A lot of goals he’s conceded since the beginning have been horrendous and down to him alone. Hurts more that DDG is doing so well (although, love him, so happy for him).

Errors leading to goals is a misleading stat because it doesn't count goals he should save, it's literally things like passing to an opponent in front of goal etc.

Debacle of a first half from Palace, did not concede an away goal for 4 months, have now conceded 9 in 1.5 games in 4 days.

Eze's missed penalty to make it 1-1 changed the game for mine, dropped our heads, sloppy with the ball and wide open at the back. Why push all 3 CBs up for corners? Why didn't Mateta take the penalty, has all year? Don't recall Eze taking one.

Back to bed, could concede 7 or 8 here.
