Would’ve been fascinating to hear the reaction if TAA scored from that free kick. It was the only time I can recall the booing stop really, as he stood over the ball. I wonder what would’ve happened with him and the crowd in the aftermath.

Technically but he's already told us all he's off to Real Madrid.

Doesnt sit well with me. I want players wearing the Liverpool shirt who are 100% commited to the club. He's not.

I was annoyed he even came on on the weekend and I hope he doesnt play another minute in our remaining two games.
I don't think that's unfair, I agree with you there.

But it spits in the face of the 'you'll never walk alone' mantra that the club is supposedly built on.

I think it's what TAA represents that is hurtful. The local lad growing up idolising Steven Gerrard and wanting so desperately to play for Liverpool, captain Liverpool, score goals for Liverpool, lift trophies for Liverpool.

He's living all our fans dream.

Then he's just like, right im off to Real Madrid, the same blokes who beat us in two CL finals.

He's a scouser, he's supposed to be at his dream club, he's supposed to play 700 games for Liverpool and retire a legend.

I know it's not right, but to us it's like, you are lucky enough to be living our dream and you're shitting on it kind of thing.

Of course he is his own person, he can do what he likes, its his career.

Im not angry at him or anything, I'm just disappointed because I was like, he's one of us!! He's doing it for us, he's living our dream and then he just up's and leaves.
He's achieved everything you said he dreamt of. What more do Liverpool fans want from him?

Now he has new dreams so it's hard to see why he can't be wished well for a new challenge in a different league. Comes across very ungrateful to such a great servant of the club.

He didn't achieve Liverpool immortality and he never will now.

I'm not a boo'er and really I don't even care.

Liverpool are Champions

Weird.

If you don't care you don't have to engage in the conversation trying to justify people booing him.

TAA is leaving the best club in the best league in the world to go a second rate club in a lower league.

He is not a red anymore - good luck and **** off.

Go Barca
2nd rate club lol.
If this was bait for type club I could respect the hustle but I suspect you believe it.

Real Madrid are The club, the alpha male of football.

I suspect it's just copium. Liverpool supporters are a strange bunch.

In Spain, Barcelona are The Club. As they are proving again this season.
Are they? Madrid have more La Liga titles, more European titles. Struggle to see how it could be claimed they are a better club than Madrid.

We are in agreeance on too many things this week, it's messing with my brain :tearsofjoy:
Lose to Sydney on the weekend and let's get this back on track.

YNWA goes both ways though.

He's leaving us, we want him to stay. So he's walking alone.

Why is it always on the fans...
Probably because they're acting like spoiled campaigners, at a guess.

You see this logical reasoning failure a lot in the AFL. Tex is a prime example of it, as captain he was scathing on Lever and McGovern for leaving. Yet would be first to praise a new recruit they just got from another club. Loyalty is only expected one way when you're a one eyed fan.

Liverpool fans are no different. Have absolutely no issues cheering on players they've signed from other clubs, have no issues if they've grabbed someone on a free or if that player is leaving their homeland to join them. All traits TAA is displaying here. But leave and you deserve to be booed.

Completely ungrateful for the trophies he's helped win which I'm sure many of them wouldn't have occurred if Clyne was still playing at RB.

This is your all time record goalscorer. Time to get off that high horse
