We had so much pace and spread without him. Gomes was able to feed the forwards instead of a chip pass to Siggy 5 metres in front of him.

We also have Digne for free kicks anyway. I'm fine with him coming off the bench 80+ though.

It's because siggy instead of playing between the lines prefers to basically play off the shoulder of the 9, gives us a huge midfield gap if we play those two deeper mids. Sometimes he does drop in but not often enough
