So seemingly out of the blue, SC have created a competition for the EPL!

I believe the scoring system is the exact same as the RDT game but there are bigger prizes and a SC Cup which is an eliminator competition commencing in round 13 and finishing in round 26 (16,384 managers eligible)

I honestly dont know whether the pricing is the exact same as DT but it does seem like that could be the case. Im honestly pretty excited. Made a team in a couple minutes.

Apparently Newscorp now own Vapormedia.
Was watching a RL supoercoach podcast and Sangster mentioned it and that they expect expansion of sports.
I'd expect to see a few more of this happening.

RDT may become a thing of the past in time????

Now that ive given it more thought.

Forwards and defenders are pretty much set and my midfield is based on the best i can fit in given my other positions.

Some notes

DEF
  • Frimpong, De Cuyper & Udogie are fairly attacking defenders who should start almost always and thus should be good value for money.
  • Konsa is selected as after Newcastle in the first round, Villa's run is pretty favourable for a little while
  • Walker is cheap and Burnley were very good defensively last season in the championship. I am considering other cheap options here but Walker probably starts basically every game. Don't really like that i have invested in both Keeper and Defensive assets from Burnley though

FWD
  • Ive played around with different forwards but i keep going back to Salah, Haaland & Wirtz. J.Pedro is under consideration given Chelsea's favourable early draw but i keep going back to Wirtz.
  • There are a couple cheap forwards (e.g Leeds players) who could be value for money but i wouldnt be comfortable starting them in any given round

MID
  • Palmer is locked in. So is Rodri.
  • Best of the rest. There are other options but JWP should score fairly well from misc stats & both him and Harrison are hopefully consistant starters.
  • Mainoo could definitely become someone else but is a bit of a placeholder

KEP
  • Hoping Burnley dont get scored against too heavily but Trafford is really just an enabler to get the other players i want
  • Other keeper is purely a loop option (Important to note here that i am playing the loop player on field for 2 reasons - if Trafford is to score negative his score will not count - as that is part of the rules - & also i can make him captain if i want to take my VCs score)

1.59M in the bank so ive got a bit of wiggle room

Trafford looks like he is off to Man City

im happy to run a big footy draft league this year in supercoach EPL..

if youd like to give it a crack, chuck us a react here, and feel free to comment on any ideas for league setup. I really encourage those who are interested, to go through the steps of creating a draft, and seeing the options available for the league.

these are my thoughts on what id do, if anyone cares 😂

im hoping there should be 10 people at least.. and im thinking to go with 17 man squads, but would love some feedback. this at least rewards some effort for finding hidden gems, and for some depth in our squad.

I also like the idea of playing eachother an even amount of times. with a 10 person league, we can play eachother 4 times, and start in week 3 (when the transfer window shuts).

also, finals or no finals? I vote no finals, keeping it in line with EPL style season. reward for a whole years effort. but would be open to a supercoach finals format if thats what people want.
