People talking about awful. Pffft.
Let me present "awful". That's a 42 for those that cbf adding it up. Really lucky stuff in there.

68 (Salah)

Porro, Truffert & Salah carried the team. Awful from everyone else

Similar for me, I ended up on 71 with Captain Salah, Porro and Raya scoring over half my points.

Surprised that this was a drop this week after seeing a lot of other scores.

Captaincy and VDV on the bench hurt.

For trades, locked in De Cuyper > Cala but not sure after that.

Thats a 67 with only Salah, Raya and Truffert making double figures.
Kicking myself for swapping out Greilish for Reijinders. (Ouch.)
Not to mention having Palmer and Ait-Nouri on field.
Dewsbury-Hall's late penalty and yellow card didn't help either.

Palmer and Ait-Nouri might be on the trading block this week.

If I have two on the bench and one doesn't play, does the emergency player become the one who played or does it still go to the lowest scorer (i.e. zero for not playing)?

Oh I didn't realise Grealish played the first game. Probably have to grab him or Timber
Im grabbing all 3 of Timber, Calafiori & Grealish. Aiming to grab Munoz for the very favourable round 4 and 5 fixtures (SUN & WH) and beyond. It does mean ive traded Palmer out

Those looking at Timber, be wary Ben White started GW1 but came off at 70 mins after he copped a knock.
Timber came on for him and started GW2, with White not on the bench. If White is fit, Timber might be benched.
ARS play LIV in the 2nd last game, so not many options to reverse.

Richarlison also at threat of losing his spot to a fit Solanke. Keep an eye on that.

Lol. Yeah. Hopefully a few! 😁

I got 44 and am currently in position 32, 827. 🫣

Been a pretty weird start, with no-one really standing out.
Is it that the top teams all have squads stronger than ever and so we're getting a natural evening out of scoring?

Looks like Palmer didn't train (no great surprise), so I think he goes this week. Means keeping Bowen, but I started with him to save a trade...
...besides, I can't work out a clear top 5 or even 10 Mids at this point. He's as likely to score as anyone else.

Tempted to go Wirtz to Wood for a decent C shout with what look like limited options...

Nah, I don't think so. Look at the top teams. They have no idea. Look at their selections.
#1 has a loop GK, but benched him. What's the point of having a loop GK? Vicario could have gone minus and he'd have copped it, when benching him would protect a minus score. They played a 4-4-2, and benched Kudus? No Salah or Haaland, when historically, both start seasons with a bang.

It's because there are now so many numbers playing, the probability that a few will hit the right combination increases.
Last season, I set up a rivalry with early week's leaders. GW1's leader finished 778. GW4's finished 1232.
Let's see where current leader, 'Bloody United' finish.

Agreed on the top 5 MIDs. Palmer injured, Bruno playing deeper, could lose pens now. Bowen will be consistent and should be top 5. The rest, with all the transfers, are unknown. Grealish might end up a SK at this rate. Rodri might, also, if he can stay fit. Maddison gone for the season. Rice and MGW are the only ones with stable roles like they had last season.

Once upon a time we need $150m to get the 'Dream Team' (DT). This season will be far less. Those who work it out early and save trades for the DGs, should do better in the end than those who overshoot the mark and generate more cash than needed. Last season, by default, I finished with over $13m ITB. I didn't overtrade, as I had trades and a boost at the end, but it showed the DT value has dropped.

Wirtz not doing the job I expected him to do. Kudus is doing his job. Likely my 1st trade.
Kudus with a decent BE and home to BOU and then up against WHU.

Calafiori is a must have with his BE. Pity he's up against LIV, otherwise he could be massive. Still could be.

VdV is probably my 3rd transfer. Good BE and chance for more returns with the easiest fixture ticker for the next 5 games.
Vicario, Porro and VdV is a bit too much, but in Spurs I will trust.

Adingra stays, as he's the least of my problems. Benching him in case he goes minus.
If he does, he won't sub on. Can bench Stach and start Rodon for another bite of the cherry.

With Palmer injured and Mo up against ARS, it looks like VC Kudus and C Haaland.

Time for Porro and Stach to get some GIs.

Cheap midfield with Palmer > Grealish

Got some time to work out who to target other than Rodri & Palmer when he returns.

Hoping Villa (Watkins) pull their finger out this round. Still think ill keep him for the fixtures coming up.

2.1M in the bank. See how things turn out but Porro down to a cheapie may be the way i get back up to Palmer after he returns. Although, if Spurs keep playing like they currently are then he will stay.

Munoz doing well with 2 tough games out of the way. If we get news that Palmer is out for 4-5 GWs, I think Palmer to Rodri and DEF to Munoz might be my GW4 trades already planned.

When I said Top Teams, I meant the actual ones (not our pretend ones) 😁
Liverpool with 8 score contributors already...
Arsenal adding Eze. Etc.

The actual scoring will be more evenly distributed, likely making singular targets a bit more rare?

Just wondering aloud really, but the strength of some of these benches is nuts.
