I think the same applies here. Chasing $ in the short term will burn trades. Palmer is one we will probably want long term. So if you have him imo keep him. Save the trades.

Exactly. If people started with Palmer, I'm guessing it was because they felt he was a season keeper.
To want to sell him after GW1 is just crazy. I'm going VC for him. He's due, and WHU conceded 3 to SUN.

I was thinking frimpong would be in my team long-term so I'll probably trade out 1 of my cheapie defenders (Dorgu/Truffert/Diouf) if I bring in Ballard

Yeah you are correct I think. Especially with so few trades in this format.

The only premium I traded out this year in AFLSC was JHF and that bit me hard lol.

Be nice if he could go big tomorrow and re-assure us doubters. Looking at his record last year he seems very boom or bust.

Connor Bradley returning will muddy the water a bit on Frimpong. I was hoping he’d have a good run early and bank some cash before Bradley started getting full games. Now it’s an easy swap for Ballard and I’ll see if my fringe defenders like Dorgu, Truffert and Diouf can still make some coin. I’ll do just the one trade this week and then work out how to spend the extra cash I make on the Frimpong trade before gameweek 3.

You need to have players working for you this early in the season. Making points or cash. Frimpong is idle. Doing neither.
Dorgu and Diouf have great roles, practically MIDs but listed as DEF (you likely picked them for that reason).
Truffert has a great matchup this week at home to WOL.
If you can start 10 on field with good prospects for pts, then bench him a week and decide next week.
You can't make or lose cash this week anyway, and maybe pts loss will be minimal, and worth the wait to transfer out the right player next week.

Palmer has been playing on the left lately. He prefers the right.
If Maresca persists in playing him on the wrong side, he might have to go.

Eze will have nothing but a positive effect on Saka’s scoring, teams won’t be able to triple team him now that we have a creative threat on the left too.

Decent start with JP and Sanchez, but very annoying that my VC has been wasted on Palmer. Set it after seeing the team sheets which is frustrating.

It’s a groin, so who knows how long? Do we hold him with the international break? Should I now bring in Reijnders early this week to fortify a weak midfield?

Locks out before the first game and everyone has the same information

489 traded him out in supercoach but some of those would have been unrelated to his injury, so a few players took advantage but not enough for it to kill our seasons

My bench midfielder Ampadu is out with a knee injury as well.

What score did Diouf end up on? I traded him out for Ballard and I also traded out Fullkrug for Thiago.

But given the assist was 9 pts, and appearance 2 pts, he had a net 1 pt.
