Nice score, 117 for me.

Got Diouf's score due to Dorgu out. KDH on the bench though. Feels like there is so much luck in this game week to week. Just got to ride the bump's I guess.

Rodri a must next week?

I have Ekitike who will probably need to be traded too now with Isak coming in.

$11mil burning a hole in my pocket too, was planning Dorgu to Munoz. Not sure I want to boost again though.
Boosts are there to be used. $11m is not working for you. Put most on the pitch.
Now that Lacroix has gone up more than Munoz, Munoz probably the better value of the two.

The next couple of GWs will be a real test for coaches. I am sure we have all burnt through some corrective trades in the first couple of weeks.
How we use trades now will have ramifications down the track. It's a long season!
For me - no trades this GW. Sit and wait.

I've held Palmer so will at least get him back this week.
My weaknesss are van de Ven, Reijinders & Sarr. Not bad problems to have. Of those probably Reijinders the main concern.
Although I don't like what I am seeing from Salah, but have him because he is classy proven performer and will come good.

Scored 108
Ranked 3865 (top 9%)

I'm trying to be sensible with trades, as I suspect many coaches will run out well before the end of the season. In AFL SC it's a big advantage being able to make moves late in the season and this version I think it will be even more so. There are such huge swings in scoring, being able to jump on the right players late may result in flying up the ranks. I hope.

Having said that......you are right about not having that much cash in the bank.

Do you see Rodri as a must have? Looks too cheap to pass up to me.

Just James to Rodri for me, I want to upgrade Fullkrug but don’t have the money to go to anyone good so I’ll hold him.

Is there a way of seeing the BE’s without signing up for Supercoach Plus? To be fair I just want to know whether James -> Rodri is worth it.

Screenshot_20250901_185332_Samsung Internet.jpg These last 2 weeks are FPL in a nutshell. 😁

Suddenly Bowen is averaging (nearly) 10 ppg, which is what I (almost) paid for...
[And genuinely could have scored 3]
...Diouf pulling a pretty random 20 (albeit from the bench, but surely no-one deliberately played him on field...

Calafiori was the ultimate balancing act between a potential "keeper" who's exploding in price, v. a score that was always likely to be <6.
[Although, as it turns out, Arsenal were 'unlucky' to concede].

I went a slightly different path and figured Josh Cullen just may be a bargain.
Coming off an unrealistically high score but essentially has a 9 and 7 with baseline points, worst case he makes me a couple of mil...
...but talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time!
One of the unluckiest/unlikeliest own goals you'll ever see earned me a -1 on field...
...but more concerning for me was that he'd only have scored 5 without it.
Thankfully he'll make another mil or so, but he's unlikely to be that sneaky keeper M5, so hopefully someone else puts up their hand next week.

Forwards are still a bit of a mess. Watkins is killing me, but it's a good run of games ahead.
Can't help but think the Pedro boat has sailed.
What does Isak do to the Liverpool attack?
Wirtz played well (unusually for me, I watched most of the game), but just didn't look to have the EPL pace/cutting edge just yet. Don't necessarily see a heap of attacking returns coming any time soon.

Basically, it's week 3, so don't panic! 😁

I can definitely see the appeal of a CP defender this week, but I can equally see them conceding in 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9...

The only defender that I could part with is Ait-Nouri, but surely that's one of the safest c/s's for the week... 😬🤗

'Sensible' is a subjective word. For me, it's mainly 3 criteria when making a trade.
1) Is this a premium season keeper?
2) Can they make me a quick $2+m?
3) Do they have a great run of 5 games to get me pts in the short term and make me $2m?

1) This is why I'm keeping Salah, Haaland and Palmer, even with short term injuries.
2) This is why I brought in Calafiori.
3) This is why I brought in Kudus and VdV.

Trades at the end can be very handy, as there's byes and then double game weeks.

Being #1 in the penultimate GW, if you have trades, can also help as you trade in your opponent's best POD, to negate their potential advantage.

Yep. Rodri at that price is a steal. Real potential to spike to $10m.
That's why I didn't get Bruno and/or Bowen. The best cheapos are also MIDs.
We've seen with Grealish, KDH and soon with Rodri. Then there's Stach (IMO).
We saw a few late loans. Elliott on the radar. Probably a few more worthy soon.

Is Rodri a must have?

I know he won the Ballon D'Or so the guy can play, but he hasn't exactly set the world on fire in his 2 starts so far.
Be of 2 and only scoring a 5 in his one full outing.
Yeah I'm not sure either tbh. It's possibly a defensive move getting him.

Undecided at this point

Just having a look for GW4.
I know I should spend time fixing the keepers but Palmer is really tempting.
Still riding with Bowen for no reason other than I started with him RD1.

If I go

Calafiori has a BE of -5

Holding Mel Gibson GIF

Simons is also a watch. Isak, Simons, Elliott are 3 that i definitely foresee making my side at some point.
Liverpool a bit of a watch to see how their attack works.

Salah's price is crashing, could be a good pick up in a couple of weeks.

Im hoping Salah's season gets on track from this GW onwards. Isak will almost certainly come in to consideration but it might be a while until he finds his feet/gets the minutes!

Salah is still an interesting proposition because if he doesnt dominate this week and loses a lot of cash, do you even trust him to turn it around? If he looks poor again in what should be his best fixture, i dont think you buy him even if he goes to below 12 or even 11M soon.

I kinda think, if you dont own him, maybe you want him to score you know 17-22 or something good this round to show he is turning his form around but will still lose a fair amount of cash and represent value?

For those that own him, like me, if we dont see something decent this round maybe its time to take the price hit and move him on? Interesting decisions to come!
