Given that Woody Allen has never been charged of anything, and that unlike Harvey Weinstein et al he has never been accused of sexually preying on his actresses, and that the sum total of accusation against him is just the one isolated incident, I do wonder if the pile-on onto Woody Allen is more to do with the fact that he’s comparatively low-hanging fruit.

That and the fact he married the adopted daughter of his partner who was 35 years younger than him. Clearly daughters of partners werent off limits to him.

Ofcourse not but you claimed you didnt get the woody allen pile on. One daughter accuses him of sexual assault. He then goes and marries another of the daughters. It gives credance to the accuser. He clearly had no issue sexually lusting after and pursuing mias daughters who were more than 30 years younger than him.

OK maybe I should clarify. The Soon-Yi thing didn't look good at the time (they've now been happily married for nearly 25 years) and it is understandable that people would have been initially dubious about Woody Allen. But surely the lack of evidence and his otherwise spotless record (not to mention the apparent shoddiness of this documentary) mean that it's time to move on? This is a very different situation to Epstein, Weinstein, Cosby, Saville, Rolf Harris...

Yeah the article discusses that. Also says that when told to show where Allen touched her, she pointed to her shoulder.

The article is well worth a read. The whole thing sounds incredibly sad and confused but the one thing that comes through for me is that the accusations against Woody Allen have never been sustained.

Epstein pleaded guilty to a charge of procuring underaged girls in 2008 and was sentenced to 18 months in prison. There's FBI evidence of up to 80 girls as young as 12 being abused by Epstein.

Bill Gates didn't associate with Epstein until 2011 - 'for his business contacts'. Apparently Melinda was uncomfortable with Bill's relationship with Epstein. The other side of the story is that Bill consulted with Epstein on how to get out of his relationship with Melinda.

Yet in a 2001 article Maxwell seemed to suggest bill was the source of her wealth..

And 1995 ole bills company started using Maxwell sisters owned McKinley directory..

Agreed. Seems bizarre to have someone guilty of trafficking minors and nobody who was trafficked to.

The defense did attempt to introduce the little black book of names into the trial proceedings but the judge blocked it. So they have the names.

If they don't make some arrests or even mention any work being done people are going to start asking questions about connections powerful people had to both the trial and Maxwell.
