That's my point though. You're saying Swan is better the Foley, Pendles better then Lids, their rucks better then our rucks etc, even though they are the same age, if not younger/less experienced then our guys.

There is something seriously wrong with that.

There trades are better than us.Eg Ball, and even trading out Tarrant and Shaw for draft picks etc..

They get more help from umpires, Cloke father son.

They develop and unearth youngsters obscure better than us eg. Swan, Langdon

What does that even mean? Seriously!

Might mean its not performance based but a boys club so RFC always under performs because being the best is not in front of a love up culture!

Might mean back office and not just the players.

When was the last time a RFC premiership player was part of the support group?

Lol, 15th along side saints, giants, lions...

They're rebuilding. We're not.

Fn disgrace
At the end of round 12 ( 11 games ) Richmond has averaged 85.8 games per player on the field ( ranked 12th ), St Kilda has averaged 84.4 games per player. ( ranked 13th )

That is a crap statement. Hang your head in shame.

LOL.

Not sure I should or will mate. But thanks for the concern.

Bet he's to pre occupied meeting sponsors, watching soccer, drinking champagne, eating lobster and networking to worry about our on field worries. After all, wasn't too concerned when he didn't invest in the footy department at the end of last year.

So you think 'I'm not sure he even cares'? Spare me. What a crock.

100% agree, Martin is dynamic, but more effective up the ground, whereas Deledio is the "Martin" of the half-back line.

Tag Lids out, and you limit the damage a guy like Martin can do too, because the ball won't be in Martin's part of the ground enough.

Lids is the glue of this team in many ways.
the kind of glue you buy in a two dollar shop that lasts about 30 seconds not the tarzan grip which is what we need

And that's the crux of it! If the club was leaving no stone unturned to maximize the possibility of ON FIELD success a) we probably wouldn't be in this predicament and b) Benny's shameless junket to the World Cup in Brazil would probably not receive/warrant as much scrutiny.

In the current circumstances, however it's an embarrassment and a slap in the face to supporters who were shamelessly asked to give 110%

Can't believe the "outrage" over our CEO accepting an invitation from our major sponsor.
It indicates that we have a strong relationship with Jeep and it looks like continuing, long term strategy which is an important part of a CEO's role.
Benny has done an outstanding job since becoming CEO and the "outrage" is petty and churlish.
Believe it or not, Benny Gale is not a one man show at Richmond, he has a capable team and they would have been well prepared as this would have been planned some time ago.
Benny is not needed to fix the short term problems that we are having at the moment, that is the Football Departments job, the administration is still in place to oversee this.
If I was in Benny's position then I would have accepted this invitation in a heartbeat, and I defy anyone on here to tell me different.
This does not mean I am happy to be 3-9, nor does it mean that "I accept mediocrity (whatever that means)"

have you ever been to a world cup?? If you have I'm sure you wouldn't blame benny from having 2 weeks away from watching the shit we dish up every week and getting some warmth over there. At least with the world cup on it distracts me from richmond and i can concentrate on cahill, bresch and co rather than chaplin, pettard and co.

Exactly! Why aren't we doing these things? Like I said, it's less a Dimma issue, more an entire RFC issue

I'm sure every CEO in the AFL would love to be over in Brazil at the World Cup but they are, I don't know, busy doing their job and overseeing the running of their clubs!

It's ok folks.

The hippy posters on this board are saying we will be ok.

So relax, turn up, ignore what is happening, watch Ricky Petterd win a Brownlow, watch rejects get games regardless and don't fret.

The flower sniffers have assured us its all ok.

Can't wait for our flag next year.....

Hmm, how interesting, more assertions without substantial reasoning to make them, and you didn't even reply to my post calling you out for your original bullshit claim that I was being as "delusional" as an Essendon supporter. :)

Didn't argue any of my points, didn't attempt to show why you think our future is as bleak as you do, all you did was say "you're as delusionial as an Essendon supporter" and then left it at that. GOLD MEDAL FOR YOU SIR!!!

Who said Ricky Petterd will win a Brownlow?
Who said we'd win the flag next year?
What other non-claims (that nobody on here has ever said) can you pull out of your arse?

Hey look, I know it sucks when somebody says something that you disagree with, and then presents evidence to back up their point, but you really couldn't do any better than this?

It's alright, you don't have to respond to me if you don't want to, because I've seen all I need to see from your LACK of response.

It tells me that, rather than explain your point with logic and reason, you'd rather just make crude and rudimentary assertions about fellow fans that literally have nothing backing them whatsoever, but are just hollow diatribe (i.e calling everybody who has a more positive outlook on our future a "flower sniffer"). You also seem to completely lack the willingness to properly debate your viewpoint with me in a civilized and respectful way, which clearly shows me that you don't want to hear anything other than "Richmond is doomed", and that no matter what evidence is supplied that may be contrary to that opinion, you will refuse to even acknowledge it.

This isn't an attack on you as a person, I'm sure you're a nice guy, but your debating skills just seem to be lacking for whatever reason. Reminds me of trying to explain evolution to a creationist lol...

Lol.

You have issues Reaper. I'm not debating with you mate, I ain't even reading the majority of your posts. They are too long and boring.

You're so vain. You probably thought that post was about you.......

Wowser.

Because they are all so friggin old now. You cant have premiership support when you don't win premierships.

I think the post was directed at the posters who are able to see that the future is not as bleak as you assert, and I am one of them, so whilst that post probably wasn't solely directed at me, it seemed as if it was directed at a group of people, with me included.

My posts are quite long, you're right, but the reason for that is because, unlike you, I don't just pull opinions out of my arse and declare them as fact. I actually provide evidence as to why I think the way I do.

Incase you didn't look at it, my point was that stats clearly show that in many games this year we have dominated large periods, but it has been a lack of efficiency and willingness to take the game on when the momentum has been against us, that has held us back. It is not our skill level or our talent, it is our CONFIDENCE, which is an intangible that can fix itself over the course of time.

Brandon Ellis, Reece Conca, Nick Vlastuin, Ben Lennon, and young guys like them, haven't just lost all of their talent and potential because we have been losing. They are still developing as footballers, as is our list, and our list profile suggests that a solid year of drafting this year, and maybe picking up a quality FA to fill a need, could have us right back up there and contending for finals in 2015.

What is your response to this claim, other than "WE GUNNA SUX FOR NXT 10 YRS BRAH"??? :)

Problem is mate, and I appreciate your optimism, that every other club in the comp has young talent. So yeh we have Ellis, Vlastuin, Lennon, Conca, but that's not gunna cut it against most other clubs because apparently they work their arses off in the off-season spurred on by leaders, whereas we bask in our own radiance after 1 finals appearance in 15 years and make songs about ourselves and sit around and talk about how good playing finals was and rest on our laurels coz that's Richmond. Seen it all before.
