Apparently he is the secretary of the caddies association and he is quoted as saying this about Miles Byrne (caddie of Ian Woosnam) who left 15 clubs in the bag.

"What Miles did was unprofessional and damaging to the reputation of our profession. It is a monumental ****-up - I would consider it a sacking offence."

Golf caddie = profession!.

Give me a break, golf caddies while being paid ridiculous money are the modern day equivalent of the pisss boy.

The person who calls a caddie a professional is without a doubt a right tosser.

I would imagine that Tiger Woods' caddy would make a lot more, right now, than Aaron (I love myself, then god) Badderly's caddy.

Quite a few of them are on commissions based on the player's prize money.

I think the going rate for a caddie is about 5-10% of the winnings!

Tiger Wood's caddie - a kiwi (can't remember his name) was New Zealand's highest paid "sportsman" last year!!!

Not bad work if you can get it!

There paid like jockeys, a fixed rate then a bonus for winning coming 2nd etc, I think there on about 5%.

Yep Gonzo, I think I read somewhere that Tiger Woods' caddy Steve Williams gets 10% of his winnings, of course it probably depends where Tiger finishes at the end of a tournament.
