Great season by big ezy. He has improved as a player year on year and expect him to get an AA guernsey next year.

It was always lineball between him and the 3 selected..If not for the Roughead day out against the Hawks and/or if we had won a couple more games, he'd have been in there.

It was clear to anyone watching West Coast games with a semblance of interest that he hadn't had 39 goals kicked on him.
Fairly typical though, that selections and choices are made on stats rather than actual performances.

No, more like about 10-11 goals, but still, I'm sure if you went back and watched every West Coast game you wouldn't be able to count to 30 goals kicked on Mackenzie, let alone 39.

It wasn't line ball, Mackenzie was shafted. Whatever Champion Data formula was used to formulate 39 goals is a load of bullshit. Mackenzie was excellent this season. There is no way in hell he conceded nearly 40 goals this season. It's another nail in my Champion Data coffin. I've long believed it's filled with idiots.

You're quite right that under 2 goals per game conceded is a decent number it's more the frivolity of the claim. Mackenzine was dominant this season. He should feel aggrieved.
