The redbacks have finally found a form of cricket they don't entirely suck at. Of course this is the build-up before the inevitable fall, but I'm riding this wave of successive victories and milking it for all it's worth!

Don't get carried away, the bowling other than Tait is ordinary. Don't forget Tait doesn't play 4 day cricket either.

The only undefeated side in the comp, comfortable win in a dead rubber, hardly stumbling in :rolleyes:

Geez they hate being upstaged by us at anything dont they?

Ryan Campbell and Greg Matthews have been disgraceful on One, just keep laying into almost all of our players, really pathetic by them. Most of the good things Matthews has said is about the former NSW players, like last night Borgas hits 48 but after the innings it all about what a great job Christian (23) and Cooper (13) did.

They just don't stop bagging them, but what I don't get is, who are they comparing them to? This is a tournament for the best 20/20 DOMESTIC teams, give them a break, keep it in perspecive. It's like if Gary Lyon was to commentate a SANFL game and just have a go at all the skill mistakes, 'oh, he should have kicked that'.

We have won 4/4 games so far in the CL and combined with our Big Bash effort of 4/6, we've won 8/10, that's a good effort, yet Matthews and Campbell and some other crap I've read keep shitting on us.

People who follow SA part-time need to get memories of SA getting bundled out for 29 in Shield games out of their head, this is 20/20 and it is very different.
 
almost to the point where Callum Bailey could mount a defamation case....

Thankfully, those two clowns are only on while Im getting coffee :thumbsu:
 
I agree the redbacks are playing really good cricket at the moment and seem to be by far the best in their group. Do need to remember that (if my memory is correct) they are in the pool with all of the other teams who were runners up in their competitions other than the W.I. team I think. Having said that, I guess you can only beat who you are put up against.

I think they are a good chance to beat the Vics (if Vics make it) but i dont know if either of them will beat the Warriors, but hopefully one of us will.

Kidding right? 2 of those teams are multi-million dollar IPL franchises.

Mo Matthews loves his blue baggers. He has given our middle order credit, said our numbers 4-7 he would back against any others in the comp.

On that note we have got to **** off Manou down the order, he's not a no.3's arseh*le. I'd rather see everyone move up a spot and Manou slide back down behind Cooper who is wasted at no.7.

My thoughts exactly when I saw the same headline. In fairness the headline is worse than than the article which says we 'stumbled' into the finals. That was a more apt description because I think we bowled and fielded pretty poorly.

Yeah, that's exactly how guys like Matthews do it, chuck in a compliment (most often backhanded) here and there to put you off the scent.

klinger leading bat, christian leading bowler... enthusiasm rather than dread creeps into my living room when a redbacks game is on.

went to primary school with jason and cam borgas. i was always better than them by a fair margin. infact i remember jason bragging that he had survived an over of my lightning quick out swingers... i wonder when they came on. never showed signs of it as kids. anyway, enough of me selling myself short:D, good to see cam terrorising quality attacks. hits the ball effing hard for a skinny bloke
 
I've been pleasantly suprised by the redbacks. Great to have Ferguson back, I don't like Manou coming in at three - maybe put Cooper at three instead?? Great start for Klinger as captain - why didn't he play the big bash last season?
I will have to pace myself on Saturday to make sure I haven't passed out before the cricket!! :p
Bushranger's missing out is icing on the cake - it would have been nice to beat them though!!

As per above, the point was (as I made it) that they were teams that came second in their respective tournaments.

I never said they were crap, was making a point that the teams in most cases (clearly not the Vics here) that won their domestic tournament would be a stronger team than the ones that came second or third. and I also said that SA were playing good cricket and would have most likely beaten the Vics.

As I said I dont know that they will beat the warriors, but I hope they will.
