Good Tom get Esava and Stewart signed they’ve both had good starts to the season. Geelong has a big year of list management with many players out of contract. Will be interesting to see how the cards fall and who’s left behind.

I wonder what they are worth. Neither would be sell the farm type contracts imo..but one has potential and the other is playing senior footy beyond a P40

Agree looks like a good decision and perhaps lower end otherwise Stewart you’d think would get more than a year.

Gives them some stability and the club some SC management not going too long or leaving themselves open to them being poached.

Fair point I haven’t considered the salary cap, with so many out of contract this year I guess it would be hard to resign without having others resigned first.

it has to be long term CS management.

Figure HT done at end of 2019 with a few others in the mid range rolled over by then. Creates more space then that's not there now. Get them under contract now for and look to extend once the picture becomes clearer.

That or they have to keep room for T Lynch and Sloane.

Interesting to note that the AFL ambassador salary is decreased, it appears that Lynch may reconsider staying at the GC now that he won’t be getting as much money outside the salary cap.
