With Fisher into the side (is it done yet?) and Mattner from Adelaide, i can only assume that Roos plans on moving Malceski and Kennelly into the middle, and playing Fisher on the HB line, and Mattner as more of a running HBF, similar to Malceski.

I'm guessing that Eski will play a variety of roles for us, and maybe even sometime in the half-forward flank particularly if teams flood against us. I'm not too keen on Tadhg in the midfield, he will have less space to turn and run at full speed.

If we play those two in the midfield, we have to be very careful with them and make sure they get protection like they did with Judd and G. Ablett, to have a lot guys running blocks and shepreds for them so they have space to manuver (and yes, I'm looking at players that doesn't offer much in attack like Matthews to do a more dirty than he is at the moment - Ablett (our ablett), and Kirk, after he hand-balls, is the few that was doing this consistently for us last year).

I'd say Tadgh would stay in his posi as that's where he's most damaging with Eski and Mattner alternating their roles.

I think we'll definitely see a more running game in '08 or similar to '05. Can play a running game but able to play a defensive game too.

Hopefully Hall will be back to his damaging best.

i want to see malceski in the middle, but the irishman should stay where he is and as long as we get LRT back fit and firing with c bolton in defence, to take some of the pressure off kennelly having to play a defensive role, he'll carve 'em up with his run....mattner must be played on a wing, certainly going by the adelaide fan board, that's where he should've been at the crows and i can't see roos bringing him over just to play him in a position he wasn't happy in at adelaide

leigh fisher should be a good get, he seems to be a better decision maker than someone like paul bevan, he's young, pretty slick with the ball from memory and a good long kick, is that right?

we just need a KPP, i still think miller but that seems to have stalled....

plus d o'keefe, d currie and j white, craig bird from the upcoming draft, and schmidt, barlow and laidlaw, et al.....hey, maybe things aren't looking so bad for 08
certainly starting to take on a new look, at least

I guess it's going to give us a lot of options. We can mix and match during matchday and swap positions between the players along the back flanks if either Kennelly or Malceski move into the midfield, we can easily switch either one with Mattner or the likes.

Having said that, would like to have kept onto Schneider. I thought he was brilliant in 2003. Although he has racked up more of the ball over the last 2 years it's probably due to him playing in the backline more often. Would have liked to have kept him.

Ok, we have re-vamped the backline, and midfield. Who are we going to kick to in our ageing forward line? Barry Hall may never be the same again, and you
cant expect Mickey to go forever. Nick Davis is inconsistant. Are there any aces up our sleeve, possibly in the reserves, who could fill the void,if there were to be injuries to our key forwards?

yep....i don't think he's played a lot of footy, so plenty of improvement, but he's something like 196cm and big with it
has great hands
i think he kicked four goals in one of our mickey mouse preseason games this year, and did well in a coupla others
