The disposal in the first few minutes was impeccable. Better than anything we produced for the whole of last year.

A few brain snaps (Watson, Peverill) then let us down, but overall the skills and conversion were pretty good.

Lucas has just kicked one in the second. Looking pretty good overall. Just hope we don't have a massive fadeout. Looks like Goodwin might be out for the rest of the game too which helps a little. Need to get on top of Thompson and Edwards big time though.

Alwyn Davey's just been reported.

This game is getting softer by the minute. Mattner actually slipped and THEN ducked into Davey's oncoming tackle. In the end Davey just collected him with his stomach more than anything. He should get off if the AFL has any sense.

Watson's disposal is appalling again this quarter. Just so slow hand to foot.

Lucas is on fire. Lloyd looks good with limited opportunities. Hird can't get into it, which is kind of good considering we're winning without his help.

Two soft free kicks gift Burton a goal. Welsh does a great job of spoiling then gets pinged for too high just before Lucas was to have a shot from outside 50.

Then Slattery puts his arm around Burtons stomach and gets penalised for chopping the arms????!!?!?!?!?! Ridiculous.

they weren't really until the last 5 or so mins of the 2nd quarter. Ridiculous decisions against welsh, slattery and davey. If he gets done for that it will be a total joke.

But as someone said above me, I'll take a 12 point lead over adelaide anytime
