Well you'll have a tougher draw to start with. You won't have the softest draw 2 years in a row after making finals.

Who knows how next year will pan out. Pies scraped into the 8 last year only to finish second last this year. Richmond, WC, Saints also dropped out of the 8.

Are you capable of reading? The draw has no impact on the quality of Essendon as a side.

But next year we'll have 3 players who were top 12 draft pics with a year's worth of experience under their belt. Or do these players just get forgotten because they're no longer in their draft year?

You say some odd things sometimes.
By odd, you mean factual?

What was incorrect about my statement that 1) you won't have the softest draw next year after playing finals, and 2) you don't have a top 12 draft pick this year?

Try a less salty diet.

As it stands, we have pick #11.

I helpfully pointed it out to you in another thread but you must have missed it as you have unfortunately made the same mistake again.

Your statement was to make an argument that the team goes backwards. A harder draw could lead to going backwards in terms of W/Ls and ladder position. Not hard to comprehend.

LOL!

So you believe your first pick will be pick 11?
Pick 1 will be Collingwood (Daicos)
Pick 2 will be Bulldogs (Darcy)
Pick 3 is us.

So it's actually worse for you lot than pick 12.

Yes softest draw. And no it's not my opinion. It was done by those crowds who rate the draw difficulties of each team. Was posted by someone either earlier in this thread or another thread.

Your mob is the only team who had double up games against the teams that finished 18th, 17th, and 14th, and only 1 of your wins was against a top 8 team.
8th flattered the Bombers, and today showed it.
We also happened to beat the teams that finished 9th, 10th and 11th, who would conceivably be the competition for 8th, turbo. Facts are 8 teams make the top 8, we finished 8th ergo we were expected to be the weakest of them and it proved so. We were also the least experienced and constantly fielding one of the least exp and youngest sides comp wide, not just in the 8. We now go into next year having 4 AA midfielders (if you count Stringer), McGrath/Caldwell as our 5th/6th mids, 3 top 10 picks a year in and probably the 2nd best young ruckman in the game (Darcy ahead for now but Draper coming for him). We’ll be ok. Not everyone can be the best spoon team in history.

Yes, as it stands we currently have pick 11. Can't predict the future!

Also what the **** relevance is a top 12 draft pick? Why can't you just say we don't have a top 10 pick which is absolutely indisputable and also isn't a random number? Like who the **** has ever used 12 as a base measurement before? The most annoying thing about your post is that you grew up in a civilised country and would have been taught math and science using a Base 10 system and how do you repay your teachers and parents? By shitposting on the internet about a tOp tWElVE? What the **** man? What kind of disrespect do you mean to revolutionary thinkers like Watt and Lagrange in your pitiful attempt to deride their work in the creation of the metric system? Utterly shameful. Take a real good look at yourself pal.

What is comfortably the most amusing part, is that all of these arsehats that had Essendon pegged for bottom 4 or worse will now HANG on the whole 'days without a final win' schtick, and if (as would probably be likely) Essendon lose to the Dogs, waltz around trying to act like this is somehow a win for them. When in reality, they're sobbing internally at just how ******* good the list build at Tulla looks.
6,204 days since the mighty Bombers won a final.

Just think, by this time next year, that number will have reached 6,569

18 years!

Funny seeing opposition supporters salty...
Making finals with the 2nd least experienced and 4th youngest list in the league is a good effort.
Congrats on making finals for the 6th time since 2004 and shitting the bed yet again.

Wait until Sunday afternoon though when/if things go awry. They will find a voice again.

The same geniuses who picked us to finish 16th and 17th. They will come.

Where are you playing next week?

Oh, that's right.. Nowhere just like the rest of us.

Back in your box and watching the good teams fight for the premiership spoils

Yep… here they all come, right on cue.

Terrible second half today and didn’t deserve to win that game. Bulldogs been the better side all year and proved it today.

Underwhelming way to end the season (we are used to it) but a lot of gains during the year. Feels a little bit different this time to the usual finals losses but I guess we won’t know until 2022 if that difference is genuine or not.

I don't think you've got this...

Things can be factual and odd. You just seemed to disregard the fact the list is already young. Should we be trying to lose to keep getting low draft picks or should we be trying to climb our way up the ladder with an already young side?

Also, don't we currently have pick 11 in the draft? That would mean that you are actually incorrect on that front.

Also... OK... I'll cut down on the chips. That was another example of you saying odd things I guess.
