Agree about Setterfeid,Perkins looking massive this pre season I think he's in for a big year

You do realise every club says this bloke is having a massive pre season lol

I would have thought crows have more pressing list needs than a hbf but yes they will have more cap space than port so its probably them.

Parish wont leave essendon for another bottom 6 team if he does it will be for a finals bound team eg richmond or collingwood (assuming either has capspace). Im assuming he wont come to us because we will offer him less $ than others (see hopper).
you can add more than one player in an off-season. He's a free agent, so wouldn't impact our trading capacity.

There were rumours about that the Bombers had near $3,000,000 of salary cap space available for 2023 to sign someone during the free agency and trade period just gone - so I suspect you're right. That cap space should see a wave of "extensions" moving big signing bonuses into 2023 to add on extra years later.

It would be an interesting list management maneuver to lose a couple of free agents in 2023, add in three top ten draftees and then top up with free agents end of the following season.
Wow, that's more than 20%, so they need to go on a spending spree if true. Cap will be $15 5M, so they need to spend at least $14.7M (95%)... or another $2.2M.

That's lots of front loaded extensions!

Have heard the same RE: Redman. I heard it from an SA based mate a few months ago

Would have to be the crows, dont think port would have salary space. Crows could lose Tex and Sloane this year which would free up space.

Parish to hawthorn was the initial rumor i think.
Cap space is definitely not an issue for Crows as have been front loading plenty of players with contract extensions.

Imo, Tex will still be around. Sloane I'm not sure how he will come back. Seedsman would be in serious doubt.

Essendon clearly also have the cap space, so for Redman it wil be just a question of where he wants to play. Could depend on how he enjoys playing under Scott.

Mason plays the game in a way that Scott would love

Yep the crows would be the front runner.

Redman going nowhere.

Next offseason if we still have a tonne of money I would not mind overspending on a vet for a year or two to help teach. Maximum 2 year offer though.

Essendon have brought in a fair bit of talent over the past few years .... if they don’t show a bit this year they might want to give it away
Yet no clearly identified chf, chb or fb yet.
Small forward had to unretire.

We're a bit off finals.
Signs we need to show is developing some of these kids

Reid, cox, perkins, jones, caldwell in particular.

Sounds like Scott is very impressed with Hepp as captain and looks likely to endorse him to continue in the top job 👍
I'm disapointed that he's going to be captain nothing against Heppel but he's not captain materail too laid back probably Brads first mistake and hopefully only one.

Need a captain who demands performance and is not affraid to berate a team mate if they stuff up during a game Mason Redman fits this catergory imo.
