Data from footywire. To check the draft order see the thread here.

Footywire says: "While we make every effort to keep up to date with player contracts, it is likely that our data may at times be out of date, incomplete or inaccurate. If you find any player contracts that need updating, please let us know using our brand new contract submission form."

Yet no clearly identified chf, chb or fb yet.
Small forward had to unretire.

We're a bit off finals.
Signs we need to show is developing some of these kids

Reid, cox, perkins, jones, caldwell in particular.
I think Zerk Thacter can be that full back his last 7 or so games in the back end of 2022 were impressive looking forward to see how he goes this year.

Hopefully

As i said, we havent clearly identified them
Laverde and stewart were ok in '21 not as good '22
Zerk had a nice finish to the year, but lets see it continue
Reid and cox haven't had a great run at it
Brand and eyre delisted
Hayes yet to play a game

Thats our kpd recruiting since knights.

I'm disapointed that he's going to be captain nothing against Heppel but he's not captain materail too laid back probably Brads first mistake and hopefully only one.

Need a captain who demands performance and is not affraid to berate a team mate if they stuff up during a game Mason Redman fits this catergory imo.

Support growing for Hepp to retain the captaincy.
2mP joining Scott in his endorsement of the skipper 👍

Well Hepp has stepped down from the captaincy.
Selfless as always.
Who will ever forget the inspirational rev up speech to the boys before the 150th year celebration game 👍
Jeez you're chirpy for a club who hasn't made the top 8 in a decade.

or won a final off there own accord since the turn of the century
You might want to check that one. I know it's easy to repress but 2011 did actually happen

The obsession of blues supporters is fairly immense
It's broken free of that dedicated thread on their own board in the past into the dodoro main board thread

Not big enough to house it, it spills over into the d&t board

Comes with the territory I guess
That 99 GF of theirs can't sustain you for that long

Yes,
But I believe the club gave him an additional 2 year contract in some kind of coaching capacity.
Great leaders are hard to find 👍
i think you're confusing us with GCS, who offered 4 with the 2 at the end being more coaching

We extended him for one more year last year. I suspect if the body holds up he may go another year, whether that's AFL or VFL.

I’m fairly certain the dons gave him an additional 2 year contract in some sort of coaching capacity on top of this year’s playing contract.
Perhaps someone with better skills than i might find a link or maybe other dons supporters may shed some light ?

ZMerrett strikes me as a Marc Murphy type of pick for captaincy, reward for being the best player, not the best leader. I know there are some decent young leaders coming through but Redman or similar effort player would have been a better call imo until hobbs etc are ready.

I've been wrong before though, Cotchin was that sort of pick too and it ended up ok

A bit like when we selected Murphy their just wasnt any other viable options.
