Do Essendon players tend to get overlooked for AA selection.

The number of Essendon representatives each year since 1991:

1991 - 0
1992 - 1
1993 – 2(premiers)
1994 - 0
1995 - 3
1996 – 1(prelim final)
1997 - 0
1998 - 2
1999 – 2(minor premiers – prelim final)
2000 – 4(premiers – lost only 1 match)
2001 – 4(minor premiers)
2002 – 0(finalists)
2003 - 3
2004 – 1(finalists)

You would have to say that considering we made the finals 10 out of those 14 years we haven’t had a whole lot of AA reps. Even in 2000 when we had 4, considering that we only lost 1 match for the whole year that wasn’t that many especially since Brisbane had 6 in 2002. And who can forget the disgrace in 2003 when James Hird was named on the bench? Having said that, we probably don't deserve any this year, except for perhaps Mark Johnson.

I reckon Dustin Fletcher had a better year than Joel Bowden as well.

He was the best in the comp statistically as well, not saying you should go by champion data but it shows how underrated he was this year.

All the Richmond fans were saying not only did he play on the CHB's but he set up plenty of goals, I'm pretty sure the paper said that Fletcher had set up the most from defence, when it comes down to 50/50's regarding AA selection, Essendon lose every time

Stiff luck for Scotty, deserved a game and yes Bowden nothing more then a cheap stat getter. Get a good forward on him and no accountability = plenty of goals

Pavlich seems to be an automatic selection every year. Not saying he had a bad year, but Scotty's year definitely had brighter moments and they were equally consistent so I can't understand that decision.
