hey sandie - I'm not pointing the finger here, I don't beleive the rumour myself and I agree its probably no more than a media beat-up.
But you said 'what's the big deal'
I replied that the 'big deal' is that what Davies is RUMOURED to have done is against the rules, thats all - I'm not like some of the other idiots around here who will desperately cling on to any story, any rumour, (no matter how ridiculous)just to have a go at Essendon.
I wouldn't waste my time, Essendon are irelevant to me.

But regardless, we are the only club to wn premiership when the year has started with different digits.
We won whe it startd with 18
We won when is started with 19
And we have now won when is starts with 20
I think whether 2000 is "officially" the 2000th year is besdie the point. It is the symolism that the 2000 number represents. it's the change from 19 to 20, and it is that fact which makes people accept the year 2000 as the first year of the millenium, evn if technically it "may" not be.

You know, the aim of the Premiership wasn't to equal Carlton. It was the ultimate success, idiot. Like, yeah, at the start of the year "Sheedy, what is your aim" "to equal Carlton" ? Yeah right.
We may be equal to your Premierships. But I agree, we are not the equal to your club. That is a fate I could never wish upon anyone! I am satisfied with the fact we are much HIGHER than what it takes to equal you.

Excuse me, I have a passion for football as well as Essendon. You'll be happy to know it really makes me upset to see that Geelong supporter shocked when Clint Bizzell (is it him?) miss the goal against the Kangaroos. I know that's minor stuff, compared to Fitzroy, but hey, in 96, I was 10.
And you know what, it really makes me mad to hear people say Essendon fans are on the bandwagon for Lloyd and co. That's a load of crap. I know that myself, and thousands of others, support Essendon with a passion. I for one have supported Essendon since birth.

As he has repeatedly stated... only Dan can be truly "subjective"....
I mean going down in history as the only team to win premierships in every century.... geeze..... great stuff.... and to think how hollow this year's premiership would have been if it wasn't for the 1899 premiership.... when hird was kicking at goal he must have been thinking....
