Glenn Hawker
1 x B&F
2 x Premiership player
200 games for EFC
From Kaniva just like Roger Merrett but does not make the “notable people from Kaniva” section of their Wikipedia page. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaniva

One of the great #33’s of the club

Phil Carman

Selected for his debut season at Collingwood where in 15 games he won the Pies goal kicking, B&F and finished 3 votes off Brownlow winner Gary Dempsey.

Could play CHF, CHB, centre or on a flank such was his size, strength and athletic profile. He's a perfect swing man to make a mobile marking nightmare along with Vanders on my half forward line.

My old man as a 20 year old played against Carman in an interleague game when Carman was 16. They'd heard all about this Carman kid but he couldn't get near it, they thought he was shit. That is until late in the 3rd when he went on to kick 7 goals to close out the game and steal the win.

He did pretty well to come back from his cancer spells Shermy.

Pick 90 has me going tall.

Welcome aboard Geoff Leek.

Edit: Taken.

Pick 90 part 2.

With some chewy in his mouth, welcome aboard "Mr Sunbury" Mark Johnson.

Pick 91.

I don't know what else to say but welcome aboard Percy Ogden.

damnit, was going to grab MJ with this pick.

Well I missed out on his grandson and figured it wouldnt feel right not having a Hird in the team.

Pick 92 - Allan Hird Snr

Accolades:
1942 premiership player
1950 & 52 ressies flags
Committee member 1955-58
Treasurer 1959-60
Vice-president 1965
President 1969-1975

The Allan T. Hird Stand was named in his honour at Windy Hill in Essendon, and he was an inaugural inductee into the club's Hall of Fame, given Legend status, in 1996.

I was hoping to pair Mark with Jason to form the Johnson Boys! Guess I'll have to settle for Spike McVeigh. Pweter

For those of you that noticed my cockup in my named team from my Carman selection, this should come as no surprise.

Scott Camporeale

A speedy wingman who came 2nd in the Rising Star in 1995 and played in **** Carlton's 1995 premiership side in his debut season. He had a solid career until late 1998 when his form went through the roof, peaking in the 2000 season where he averaged 27 disposals and 1.2 goals a game, which is also the season he won the **** Carlton B&F and gained All Australian selection.

Sporno 4 Pyros

Bryan Wood
4 Flags (one with EFC)
253 games
Stayed at the club as a runner when he retired (did he run in ‘93? Will have to watch the dvd tonight)
Will sit him on the wing but apparently had to be ready to play anywhere under Sheedy who must have respected his old team mate to bring him over from Tigerland.

I'm stretching this one to a guy I know nothing about other than what I have now read about him. I do remember the name from the GF replays but that is it.

Paul Weston

188cm / 85kg, centre/midfielder and full back

He played 328 games and kicked 217 goals between 1973 and 1989 in the SANFL (all pre-Adelaide) and the VFL. He played 60 games for Essendon and kicked 12 goals for us between 1983 and 1985. He played full back in the premiership years.
I am probably more interested in his 268 game and 205 goal career as a midfielder in the pre-Adelaide Crows SANFL where he is a hall of fame inductee. As was the case with Kickett, and as should be the case for any other players, WAFL and SANFL matches pre-1990 should really be on par with the VFL (even if the leagues were slightly weaker).

The accolades and career he had say it all.
