Brisbane Lions take Will... Brodie.

In real life I expect them to bid on Bowes or take Ainsworth due to retention issues, but I'd be backing Fagan in to fix their culture and focus on taking the best players. Also they need a win and I think Ainsworth is still a little risky. I like Brodie for them because despite having a glut of inside types they lack class in there and he'll provide a calmness they currently need. Brodie will come in straight away have a flow on effect allowing players like Zorko, Christensen, Beams, Rockliff to push forward more without losing something at the coal face.

With Pick 5 Carlton Select Tim Taranto.

RATIONALE:
This is a great part of the draft as picks 4-9 I think each team will be guaranteed a very good player.
The reason for going for Taranto at Carltons pick was I felt he was the best midfielder that suited Carltons needs.
While he isn't your typical inside mid beast I feel this draft is strong in that type and at my next pick (25) there should be a very good inside grafter to compliment Cripps.
What Taranto has is a lot of string to his bow which will suit a team like Carlton that needs talent that develops a bit quicker.
I feel at Carlton he will be able to start on a half forward and eventually replace that strain on Gibbs as that inside out midfielder that can kick goals.
With Gibbs looking likely each year to be traded Taranto with his clever movement through the midfield and nose for a goal will at the very least I feel match Gibbs output in future years.
